Pretty much I'm going to say make zombies a bit weaker. Being hit 3 whole times by zombies that run faster than a cheetah is not acceptable. Hordes should be the threat. Not a single zombie killing you within 5-6 hits. It's irritating and makes being a new spawn with everyone and their mother playing cod trying to kill you almost impossible to get gear/loot or even run inland.

Zombie spawning shouldn't be caused by players even for testing. He originally said he wanted them to all spawn over the map at once, not be spawned by players. It should be that way, and it should stay that way. Completely agree. -
I'm willing to bump this to page 1 to get this seen. I didn't write it for it to be looked over.

Agreed, it's accurate, I've shot quite a few. I still prefer my grandpas old bolt 22 tube fed mag over any 10/22.

Imagination maybe? Since through the game, details of the outbreak are not detailed. It does not say it's world spread, it does not say no help was offered, it does not say where it began. So by going by what my country, USA, always does when some country is in a shit storm of sorts, we show up, deem if its worth staying, stay or leave. Using my imagination, which currently the only available way to see any story behind DayZ that I've personally seen, the infection started in Chernarus. The infection spread at a slow rate at first. Military(s) were mobilized, set up bases in remote, coastal, and inland areas. The infection spread more quickly wiping out large cities first giving people there less time to respond, thus survivor loot. The infected people moved out toward the country and moved in on all those unsuspecting, inland airbases, remote military camps, small country side towns. The military(s), sustaining heavy losses deemed the area unfit for recovery and left in a hurry to keep alive those they could. You are a survivor. Through some lucky circumstances or pure ignorance you have either escaped till now the hordes of zombie-like infected people or ended up at Chernarus's coast. You must now continue to survive by any means necessary, either working together with other survivors, or trusting no one and gaining what you can through acts that can cause you lose your humanity. Survival begins with you. THAT, is what the prologue of the game is to me. To help you understand my way of thinking, I've typed it all out. Rocket has said in early previews of SA that he wants banditry(or murder) to have psychological effects on your character. So I think it's in view of what rocket has in view of this game.

I'd have to agree that a .22 would be amazing for the game, not only 10/22s though. I prefer bolt .22s myself. So 10/22 shuldnt be the only .22 available.

I say there should be a small amount of military weapons available due to world response of said outbreak. Many militaries would respond imo, not just Russia's. So the probability of "American" military weapons being there is likely. Though not in mass quantity.
-
Just because we're in America, doesn't mean we don't understand meters. Back of with your stereotyping. Weapons could become available to a country through the military if they deemed it necessary before they outbreak wiped everyone out. It doesn't just happen how you think it happened in your mind. Hunting rifles are made to be pinpoint accurate, otherwise it wouldn't be very good for hunting would it?

I shot a deer from the side of a mountain using a rock as a sturdy surface. If I ever get the opportunity, I will shoot from over 300m because I want a challenge and feel like I earned that deer. I don't shoot from stands like most hunters. 500m isn't super easy, but it's not stupidly hard with a little practice and a good gun. The round will travel 800m and have effective power regardless of the wind, that mostly just changes the direction, not punch power. I've shot a Mosin irl, it's super accurate, iron sights or no. Wind, no wind, it's practice, just like everything else. Don't try to tell me otherwise.

That... Would... Be.... Epic. Seriously. The solution you came up with would be amazing. Gauging could be done with say a made flag of sorts if you plan on waiting for hunting an animal. Assuming that this was implemented by the time or after animals and hunting was implemented. Which I honestly would see a realistic time frame if not longer as it wouldn't be a huge priority. I'm not sure gauging could be done with environment without rewriting a bunch of code, I'm no coder, just a guess. but maybe something you could place still a flag of sorts just in view.... hmmmm.

Actually, there was a mod in ArmA2 that had all of that, from what I heard. So it is possible.

Learn to read, I didn't know they were there till I was in their face, nor did they know I was there. I had enough time to get my axe off my back and hit one, rendering him unconscious. Read the long version before you post.

I wasn't talking about me in the first place, I was talking about them. Sure they can play however they want, but it's not going to be fun when they have nobody to play with and there's nothing for them to do because they can't see past the killing aspect of the game.

I doubt it as well, but it would good if eventually it happened.

Had a lot of that on Epoch, we had a group of 12-15 players in Berezino with bases all over and invited people to attack us in groups as much as possible. Tons of fun, lots of strategy, made for an awesome time. 1000 yard no. Yes a standard zero to usually 200 yards. This is why I'm saying it would be good to able to zero the scope, windage, drop, among other factors. It would make sniping hard, and fun.
