Private hives are good but, if they go down you lose everything. While on the other hand, a public server you just switch to another one.

You can, it's the debug screen. It's under the options menu but right now many people are having problems with it disabling their HUD. Aka water required, sound and sight made, don't update.

By hacked weapons they mean weapons not in Arma II but not in DayZ. You should read up on the actual weapons so you know which ones are hacked, and if this did happen, it won't happen again. Here's a few example: G17C is a hacked weapon. Any thermal scoped weapons with the exception of L85A2 are hacked in. If you have a legal one that was hacked in (not by you) you would not get banned or killed. This can not be detected by servers and such if you were not the one that spawned it in.

Because they get joy out of trolling, annoying, and such. Most hackers aren't good, they hack so they can get good at the game or annoy other people. They do this because they feed and get entertainment out of other people's misery.

Yeah they can. In fact, most hackers will just teleport to you anyways. A lot of snipers hang around NWAF. There's long lines of sights and lots of people so it's a perfect opportunity to be a bandit and kill people like a d***. If he was asking he probably wasn't hacking, maybe stalking but I doubt it. He may have just been trying to pry it out of you so he could find you and execute you. Never give away your location. EVER.

I was completely unaffected by this. It may be that the server was blacklisted from the official hive due to cheating, or possibly switched over to a private hive. Try another server. There are also glitches with certain items causing that to happen. Also, did you try restarting the game and your computer? Sometimes that will fix it.

Have you tried updating six launcher and making sure DayZ and Arma II is up to date? If you have and it is still not working just try using DayZ Commander. http://www.dayzcommander.com/

Just find the file under that area and rename the folders. Just right click on the folder needed, select rename, and rename it to what is needed.

1GB of graphics card RAM is required to play and your graphics card gives 1024MB (1GB) so you will most likely need to lower your graphics setting substantially.

Possibly hitting a shortcut combo that is set up on your computer. Make sure any combos in DayZ is not the same as any windows shortcut combos.

Note to all: When you are at some parts of the loading screen, your character is already in game and has the risk of being shot. Hide somewhere before you log off. Also, if you log out next to a tree or walls you have a risk of dieing and spawning without you knowing it when you log in. It's alpha guys, there's going to be bugs. You're going to have to just deal with it. I remember when I died I was pissed, but I ended up finding someone in Cherno who led me to Starry of which I started a new. Before that I had also found a MP5SD, all I had before was a lame crossbow. That death has led me to a much better character with NVGs M3A3 CCO and other good stuff.

When you log out when you are unconscious, it incurs a time penalty. From dayz wiki: Unconscious Symptoms Character will have an hourglass in the middle of their screen and all colors will fade (white and black, blurry) , along with inability to chat, move, etc. (game controls disabled) Causes Causes of being Unconscious: A very large amount of lethal damage. (most rifles, sniper rifles, and high military-graded weapons) Dropping below 3000 blood will cause the player to drift in and out of consciousness (there is a 1 in 100 chance for this, and it is rolled once every second in the game). Logging in with the Shock condition. Being hit by a zombie while you have less than 9000 blood. Occasionally due to a glitch while walking through open doors. Alright here's my problem. When I use the "Default" HUD, (No debug screen) my HUD works completely fine. However, when I try to turn on debug screen to get more data and help me out, my HUD doesn't disappear, but will stop working. Everything will stay green, the sound and sight won't update and the likes. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks. -Code

It's alright, Thanks for the help though. Would be nice to have it on, but it's better to know how much noise and sight you're making.

Adding on to that: Try to connect to official @hive servers, as those are the ones owned by the Dayz team, and thus they can deal with any reported hackers. Edit: Another part is, private servers aren't usually connected to @hive, so if you ever want to join a public one, you're gonna have to start over.

You can't trust anyone on Dayz you know. Try to recruit some real life friends. People in this game are major backstabbers.
