Selfish anti-social behaviour, then a pathetic, public display of self-pity. Makes me feel quite queasy. Wish there were a way to lock each DayZ account to a real-world ID, so these teenage cretins can have their 'second chance' but when they inevitably find the game too tough and resort to cheating again, they receive a galactic perma-ban lasting until the death of the known universe.

AFAIK St_movement improves indoor movement, but rifle barrels clip through walls (can give your pos away) -

+ It would force spawning players to disperse from Costa Del Bean quickly and move inland, and would make Cherno and Elektro less of an almighty pigfuck. + bigger adrenaline rush when leggin it from danger :) - BUT please add a few more weapon spawn locations (crashed hummers, maybe a few more crashed helos as they are vanishingly rare) -
What a bundle of contradiction :) Nobody is talking about perma-bans, so your caps-lock conclusion should actually be: SUPPORTED

+1 if workable this would be a great addition to the game, coupled with unique physical appearances. Even on vet servers, over time people would come to match names to players' avatars. To increase the meta gaming dimension, your forum name here should be your in-game name also. -
+1 excellent post! This would be a perfect compromise to the controversial death timeout debate - say a 2 hour (or longer) ban on the server you died on to prevent 'loot immortality' and other clan-related BS.... I'm all for this.

Switzerland = enlisted men trained to use and store weapons correctly and a fairly enlightened wealth distribution in their society, and they still have the highest gun death rate in Europe. Gotta love the old corporate-brain-washing-since-birth, it never gets old :) -

I would pay a subscription fee only if the game world was made to come alive via regular events (e.g. military raids), side missions and other new features by the devs. I would also expect periodic new content like maps, vehicles, weapons, characters. I think the problem with subscriptions is the customer has to really feel they are getting a lot back regularly, putting constant pressure to innovate on the devs. However, if this would secure the future of DayZ I would pay, no question.

I wonder if rocket intends for DayZ Standalone to be (a) made in-house by BIS using Real Virtuality (Arma series) engine and released in parallel to BIS's other games, or (b) made by a new, separate company which licenses the RV engine from BIS or (c ) breaks from BIS altogether and uses a new/different engine (can't see this happening for many reasons, not least that there is no other decent true sandbox engine AFAIK). I would be totally in support of (a) or (b), but (c ) would depress the shit out of me due to development delays, game quality issues etc and loss of support for what is to my mind the most impressive games company ever to exist. Not that anyone gives a toss what I think :) -
I like some of those ideas, esp. the helmet, body armour and raincoats, but I don't know if the engine can do that stuff... Others might shed some light tho.
