New player to SA, need advice please: 1) Any tips for efficient axing of Zeds? I seem to flail a lot and almost always receive damage before I connect. 2) If you find a house with the doors already open, does that mean it's already been looted and there's basically no point looking inside? 3) Does loot only respawn when server resets or is there some kind of timer system? To try to follow the DayZ experience to its logical conclusion....private server groups running a single hive, possibly charging a monthly fee, you sign up wth one of these 'DayZ providers' of your choice and can only play on their servers with your current character. Server hopping penalities/bans all handled by the DayZ provider (not BIS). My guess.

New player (of SA, anyway). I see much has changed! I found a pristine Magnum pistol and a pristine box of .357 Magnum rounds, but can't load them. I've tried dragging the ammo on to the pistol, with the pistol in my hands and packed. Nothing works so to save further time wasting: is this the wrong ammo??

Been away for a while. Trying to play Dayz, but every server rejects official DLCs (BAF/PMC/ACR) - says no key installed. What am I missing??? Tried Dayz Commander, Play with Six and vanilla. got latest beta and 1.77. Help (please)

Fixed it - you were right, reapplying the update worked :) Guess I must have installed the DLCs after patching to 1.62....doh. Thanks again.

Thanks for replies, however my Arma2OA is fully patched (1.62.95248), running latest beta, dayz is 1.77 - every single server says keys for BAF/PMC/ACR are missing. How do I 'check file integrity'? I have retail version btw.

Yes it is justified: rocket has announced he is about to fix barbed wire spamming in the (HORRENDOUSLY, OBSCENELY DELAYED) next update. Therefore, because these 'wiretards' were never supposed to be able to wreck the game in the first place, by dis- and reconnecting all you are doing is 'correcting' a bug which will hopefully be fixed when the prophesised (and DESPERATELY AWAITED) mythical update 1.7.2 finally descends from gaming heaven to lead us all to the promised land of non-borked DayZ.
