Okay, first off I would like to thank everyone for participating, now for the winners. 1st place: DevilDog with a guess of 71 the correct number was 76 2nd place: DarthVolga at 70, you can have whatever DevilDog doesn't get. Currently I am in Berezino, I will meet you wherever but please keep in mind that I am on foot so It may take a while. Once you are ready send me a server address (you can pm over the forums or on my steam account [monkeybread]) and I'll join you there to make the trade. Thank you everybody for playing.

I like the gear and trap suggestions, however I can't say the same for the weapons. Here's my qualm with them, firearms are quite complex mechanisms not something that can be cobbled together out of stuff you found in a garage. I'm not saying that there shouldn't be some sort of weapon crafting system, just not on that level. Simple explosive on the other hand are relatively easy to make if you know how, but as you mentioned they are generally quite dangerous to the user as well; so that is defiantly a possibility for crafting. Once again, you did have some good suggestions ( the gear and traps). -

So I was running around up north and I was using my L85A2 to scan the horizons for players; I enter into scoped view and my scope has no thermal so I hit "N" to change it and it switches to what I'm guessing is infrared (grey and white similar to the AS50 TWS). I then hit "N" again and it goes back to the regular scope selections. I suppose that this was a glitch since I couldn't activate it again, am I right?

Okay thanks, I think the glitch may be activated by switching optical equipment because I found some NVGs and dropped my binoculars to make room and it happened again. In fact come to think of it, the first time it happened I had just picked up some rangefinders from a corpse.

There's nothing you can do to completely avoid hackers. However, if you don't mind playing them, servers with less people generally have less hackers. Also if you manage to get on a private server (one with a password given out to a select group of people such as for a clan), there would probably be very little hacking going on. Have fun playing DayZ!
