    Automatic Makarov?

    Server this happened on - US 7 hosted by AAF Time that it happened - 1:52 A.M. MST What happened during the incident - So I was exploring the factory east of Polana when this guy logs in and kills me with what seems to be two shots with the Makarov, but if you pay close attention to the video at about 30 seconds a lot more smoke comes out of the barrel as if he shot way more than twice in under a second, after that you hear his gun click very rapidly once it's empty.     I agree this could be a good way to go about it, even with one other person around you still could be distressed.

    I wouldn't consider it punishing to lone wolf players, playing alone should be harder as I doubt that a majority of people are so mentally stable that not seeing another living human being for a very long period of time just doesn't even phase them. Also they already have the huge advantage of knowing how to hunt, shoot, play nurse, fix cars as well as helicopters, and sleep in a forest all alone without having to worry about being hurt while they log off because they can do everything themselves, when normally no normal person could.

    I think this is a good idea because I've had to shoot people who were obviously bandits but didn't have low humanity because they raised it via blood transfusions with their bandit buddies, I wouldn't shoot someone who had obviously high humanity however because that would be much harder to obtain for any bandits looking to take advantage of the heart beat system.

    Becoming a zombie/dying

    I had a similar idea yesterday and adding the possibility if infection made me think it may make decisions a lot harder. Should I shoot first and ask later risking an infection? or Should I try to team up with this person and avoid death by infection? I know rocket may have said survivors are immune but the mod is in Alpha, if every game stayed the same all the way from Alpha to release there would be no point in testing and experimenting with mechanics. If anything I think this idea is worth a try.

    I agree with you on players being more deadly, and they still would be this is hardly about making them any less dangerous. I only think the zombies are much to weak, I could sprint through a major city full of zombies attract a horde and on my own simply walk into a building and kill every single one no problem. If it is so easy, why is there even an apocalypse in the first place?

    If I frequent those cities my avg. life is 2-3 days. I've been up mostly north and my current life is 9 Days Only one of my deaths has been in any of the major coastal cities.

    The game being more difficult would encourage more group play, and less deathmatching. In a realistic zombie apocalypse surviving on your own would be way more difficult and most likely end your death. I should not be able to survive on my own so easily. This is from DayZ's home page, "A 225 km2 open world post-soviet state and one of the areas hit by a new and presently unknown infection which has wiped out most of the world's population. You are one of the few who have survived and now you must search this new wasteland in order to fight for your life against what is left of the indigenous population, now infected with the disease." My longest life was Day 4 I believe, That is a little more than what I average per character.

    Many people say how they love this mod for it's difficulty, but to me zombies are kind of a joke. I have never once worried about dying from a zombie, and have only really only been killed by a zombie once, the other six times was another player. This could turn the game back into what it was intended to be, a zombie survival horror, not a game where the only fear you have is another player.

It would be much more realistic if getting hit by a zombie enough to bleed would cause you to become infected, upon infection you would need to find several components to a cure within 24 hours or you die and become a zombie (You don't play as a zombie, you just die). It would also be important to make it so administering the cure requires another player, like a blood transfusion. I'm not sure what the components should be, but perhaps they should only be accessible to infected players and incredibly rare. If this were the case bandits may be less likely to fire at another survivor in a town because all it takes is one hit and your infected, making the game much more realistic.

    I play with 3 people that I already know personally, surely not everyone is alone. Of course I would like to not have to worry so much about every survivor I come across as well.

    What if when spawning in you could choose a Psyche that most fits you, or how you want to play and each comes with it's penalties and benefits. A psychotic character could kill easily, but constantly need medicine A humane character doesn't need the medicine but has difficulty killing (whether it's self defense or not) I don't think this would be unrealistic because it merely gives the player a choice on whether or not they want to kill, or if they'd rather be normal. There could be in between psych profiles as well for more personal choices perhaps.

    There is always danger in this mod, and it's up to players to take risks, I personally would probably play with friends I know and travel with before I play against a stranger. Also since I'm a nice guy I'd probably let him keep his beans too. Less generous players can shoot if the other player doesn't follow through, or not I feel this game is all about freedom, no rules to say hey you can't do that he won fair and square!

    Just anything that would help pass the time when it starts raining at night and your trapped in doors would be nice.
