OK thanks, I will give that a shot. Checking the servers page, it doesnt mention anywhere about being an rMod, but I guess that doesnt mean anything. Thank you for your help!

I'm not sure if it is an rMod server, I dont think so, I will have to check. Also, one other thing I forgot to mention, I shot a guy who was crouch running at me holding an invisible gun. I'm assuming that I am also missing the file for whatever gun he is carrying. I do know on this server they have the Mk17 sniper, and some sort of scar variant which most of the clan guys have. I will have to play around with adding the pbo? files I guess to the proper folder, maybe I can fix the issue, it has to be me missing the model files for everything that is invisible. It's amazing that I can even play on a server if I am missing files. Gotta love how secure the arma2 servers are. ;-)

So, last week I started playing on a private hive server that has 200 cars and over 25 different heli's and planes. Well, some weird stuff is happening and I think I finally figured it out. About 5 times I ran into players who were just standing still or sitting in the middle of a field, in the seated position. The first guy, I shot with a DMR from a distance, kill message came up, and his body vanished. Seconds later in the chat the guy claims a hacker killed him. The last 2 times I encountered this, the players were standing, but same thing. I think I figured out what is happening though, and would like to fix it. I was up at the NWAF, and in the side chat someone reeled off what heli's planes and cars were spawned on the runway as they flew over. they said the blackhawk was there, (or seahawk whatever) so I ran out to check it out since I have never seen one in Dayz before and it was nowhere to be seen. Then I realized some of the other stuff they called out wasnt there either. A little while later, there were 2 dudes standing in the middle of the airstrip not moving just like before. Then I realized, I can not see certain vehicles/planes, and when people get in them, their player model stays standing where they last were before they got in the vehicles I cant see. It has to be what is happening. This also explains why I was getting shot at running across a field with what seemed to be a machine gun, (many shots at the same time) but heard no gunfire, just the bullets whizzing by, and no one was anywhere near me. They must have been shooting at me from a chopper I cant see or hear. Any clue as to why some things are invisible to me, and any clue what I would need to do to attempt to fix this? Getting shot at by invisible choppers is no fun. My Arma and dayz files are updated to current. Any help or insight is appreciated.

You do realize he has 2 series, Hive Bandits, and Hive Heroes. I enjoy both and like that he plays both sides. I laughed at the latest episode of Hive Bandits where they were trying to get the helicopter going that was sitting in the middle of Elektro. Jack was on the roof of the hospital, and some dude was down below asking if they were friendly and can he come up. There was so much mayhem going on around the helicopter, it seemed that Jack just didnt want to deal with him, so he told the guy to come up.....then shot him in the face. Can't blame him one bit, when there is a battle for a chopper going on, no time to make friends.

I always laugh when Frankie says "See you in a bit" whenever he breaks off from another player after meeting them. Cause we all know, he probably wont.

I know all the honest players on here never would be caught dead walking around with an AS50 TWS, (rolls eyes) but I couldnt help myself. I found one in a tent and grabbed it. I have been walking around with it for about a week. I actually used it once to kill some zeds who were around a guy who was prone, not sure if his legs were broken or not, but he unfortunately thought I was firing at him and disconnected, which I honestly was not. When I would log out for the night, I would stick my illegal weapon in my backpack, afraid someone else would find it in one of my tents while I was gone. Yesterday I logged on, opened my backpack, and low and behold, my AS50 TWS had magically turned into a Makarov. I actually sat and looked at my screen for a good 5 seconds trying to comprehend, then laughed and actually thought that is pretty cool. The admins are active on the server I play on, (I see their names all the time playing), so is this some kind of server side script that looks at my weapons when I log on and actually will replace the TWS? If so, I think that is incredibly cool. Just curious if anyone else had this happen to them.

After getting killed many a time at the coast, I decided to go north and be a scavenger. My character is now 14 days old and it has been quite interesting. I have almost all the good guns, and have not found them in tents, all from spawns. I am missing the DMR and a pair of NVG, which I am still trying to find. Around Day 4 I found a bike parked outside a supermarket. I jacked it. Not sure if the guy was inside or what. The next day I hopped on my bike and headed for the NWAF. I was happy as can be, ringing my bell truckin along. Then my screen blinked and I was in 10 feet of water still sitting on the bike. I hopped off and surfaced and realized I was just off shore at Krutoy cap, along with every vehicle in the game, even with the helicopter. As I swam to shore, There were 2 seemingly fresh spawned characters running around the vehicles unarmed. I ran past them, hopped in the white pick up and took off. (I didnt want the unarmed guys to find guns in the vehicles and shoot me) The truck was full of gas and all green, lucky me. I zipped back to my little camp, and was happy to have a vehicle, even though the way I obtained it was pretty lame. I drove my white pickup for many days, we found numerous helicopter crashes, looted many towns, and even drove up to green mountain and honked the horn. (only an idiot gets out of their vehicle at green mountain) One time, after re-fueling at NWAF, I spotted a guy coming down the runway in civies with a shotgun. As I approached, he didnt shoot at me, so I decided to help him out and probably ran over 200 zombies for him while he looted the hangars. As he darted off to the woods, my white pickup gave a friendly beep and we went back to camp. When I would log off, I had a great spot to park the pickup away from my camp, buried in the pines. Before I would log off I would back up about 100 ft., with my view looking at the truck, so it is the first thing I see when I log back on. So I log in around day 10, and when I appear, I am staring at a vehicle, but it is not my pickup truck. Now sitting in the exact spot is the little red 4 door car, the UAZ, I believe. I must have stood there for 10 seconds before I moved, thinking "dafuq?". I approach the car and check its gear and I swear it has everything in it that my truck did. Did someone swap it out and politely put my stuff in it? Did the server restart and put the wrong vehicle in its place? I hop in it and its all green, and I drive it to my camp. As I pull up to my camp, I see the white pickup truck! Now I am really confused. Oh well, I think, now I have 2 cars. Then I notice a bunch of gear scattered around my camp, and none of it is from my tent. A crossbow, a SAW (which I didnt have) and other stuff. I scratch my head, clean up my camp, and take the white pickup on a loot run. At the NWAF, I was in between both runways, and spot something on the ground, I pull up to look closer, and its about 20 of the green water bottles all in one pile. Again "dafuq?". After the day was over, I park both vehicles in the pines and log off. The next day I log on, and the pickup is gone, but the little red car was there. I thought "Oh well, at least I still have something to drive" As I walk up to it, I notice it is shot to hell, tires flat, windows broke, everything bad. I'm on foot again and it sucks. I start gathering parts to fix the car, but dont find everything and have to log off. Today I log on and my fixer upper is gone. I want that bike back. :P Thanks Dayz for the fun "dafuq?" moments, as I'm sure we have all had many of them. If anyone reading this has been partying in my camp in the middle of the night, thanks for not jacking all my stuff. My feet may be sore, but at least I am still geared up really well. Strelok
