    I don't know why we just don't have servers that can have side chat turned off or on. Hardcore servers can feel free to have it off, servers geared towards new players can have it turned on.

    Well being an Aussie trying to play in a reverse timezone server at night is horrific. Only 2 40man servers (39 really with admin slots) and they are permanently full (because almost no one is willing to play at night now). I don't know if other servers are experiencing this but seems like everyone (including myself) are avoiding night.

    I don't really understand the realistic argument here. There are plenty of examples of non-realistic elements of this mod that are there to enhance or are contrained by gameplay. I'm not asking for 20/20 vision at night here, just the light tweaked slightly higher. Right now unless I pop a flare and ask to be sniped in the head or swarmed by zeds; I can't play it and enjoy it.

    Update your Mod Updater, that fixed the problem for me.

    It does feel too dark for me. It's a shame too, living in Australia most of my play time is night time and I have no inverted day/night cycle servers (and overseas I lag horribly). The human eye can adjust to darkness, I've spent time out in the bush in Australia on dark nights and certainly been able to see more then I can currently in the game. I'm more used to it now (have chemlights, flares, wits about me etc) but it feels too dark most of the time.
