Can't really convince you. As I see it, the game is now worth about $11.99. Full retail at $60.00 is absurd, if it should rise that high. Final price should range about $29.99 (make no mistake that the initial release was a grabbing of cash). Maybe higher if they have a new map (forget it), a nice box, shiny disc and a souvenir (the 'steam' model essentially shits on that deal, though you're paying them absent a box anyway).

Is this the phenomenon that is also affecting the LRS owners? I hear an outcry to that as well. Rockets net nannies claim it's due to a fracture, though no such injuries exist.

Six months into the mod the excitement was still there. Six months into the SA, excitement, not there. Surely the enthusiasm was new and fresh in the beginning. But so what, the goods aren't there. Not my fault. They'll eventually pull through the broken architecture at some distant time I guess. Maybe I will have a peek at it then. An alpha stage in any project isn't supposed to go sour.

All I know is that the trees in your first picture cause massive frame drop while in their proximity. A major irk for me in the mod and now the standalone.

ya, and you'll need those sticks. played the latest experimental for two hours and received broken legs on three occasions. in one instance doing nothing more than standing still in an empty field. crack!!

I always thought it should be this way. Perhaps an unseen dog or cat crying out when a player is near within human habitats, and perhaps the sound of startled owl at night etc. -

Ya I always get a chuckle in these type of threads. I have a three year old custom built Malibal system and it runs this game fairly well indeed. -
Damn, i should have screen-shotted the zed hanging out on the very top of the crane. i spent five minuted trying to plink it with my amphibia from two hundred meters.

The Winchester had the most satisfying report. A nice solid thump. In the mod, I would gather my pack full of ammo, then coral as many zeds as I could and have a shoot-fest.

nice write up but trying to appeal to the pubescent knuckleheads here... what you describe may take place in the next generation dayz game, and maybe when rocket bails from bohemia and starts his own studio. that's if his heart is even in it anymore.

I hear your rant. Unluckily you fell victim to the state of the game in its current state. Tellingly, similar incidents as these are still inherit in the mod a year and a half later. Some of these embedded bugs will never be rid of. And again, the 'don't get attached to your gear' is the most ridiculous meme ever started in this type of game. Of course the sheep picked it up and ran with it.
