In case you haven't noticed... Some users around here seem to be nothing more than selfish spoiled rotten little children. They could care less if the "Team" was enjoying the holidays, as they want all the things right now. If they don't get what they want they throw hissy fits all over the net, and on these forums. *Ignore the whinny children's demands* ENJOY YOUR WELL DESERVED HOLIDAY BREAK DAYZ TEAM! ;)

I'll never view DayZ the same way again LOL! ;) I'm afraid there is nothing we can do about the "Wipes' though, as it's not a finished product. :( It's all a part of the whole "Alpha" testing phase we decided to join ;)

Just a little "Experiment" I did months ago while playing DayZ! (finally posted it) I'll be working on a *similar* video once the "Stand Alone" is out! ;)

Yeah, probably... War Z has all the bells and whistles, a fancy/clean UI, easy to play, functioning melee, and things DayZ lacked etc., but yet I find it boring, and no fun at all! They sh*t out a product to make a ca$h grab, as it's no more than 3 months of work spent modding "War Inc." into a zombie game...I mean MMO...wait 40 players per map = an MMO now? LOLZ! I can't wait for DayZ to finally start carving out its own path and moving away from ArmA (as far as map and asset use goes), so it can start to shine on its own. ;) -

Sorry Griff, but I haven't heard any news about some real "custom" maps for DayZ...just stuff about using existing ArmA maps/assets. Yeah...I'll get right on that man, because I'm trying to please everyone here. <_< If you notice I do it so you know who or what I'm talking about. For talking to the mods/admins I use their colors, so go yell at them. -

As cool as that sounds...I'm about to sound like a major jerk... PLEASE CREATE unique maps exclusive to DayZ instead of taking the easy way out guys. If you just plan to milk the existing ArmA modding community for their maps I'm done caring for this project. I've already played ALL of the best ArmA maps to death over the past few years (rolls eyes) I use to stand up to the people bitching about how they purchased ArmA 2 for a FREE Mod and told them how wrong they are/were. Now it seems we will be purchasing DayZ to play on FREE modder created ArmA 2 maps/content...that's so wrong and ironic :( *PLEASE tell me this isn't the attitude/direction DayZ's "Stand Alone" is going Rocket? -
I agree. I also think that it would be really cool if Rocket had something for us that was DayZ related for Halloween ;) A new mod patch? An early "Stand Alone" release? FREE Pumpkin Pie or Candy Corn? Anything lol!

After watching the new season of The Walking Dead I'd love to see a Prison! Followed by a Mall like the one in "Dawn of the Dead" (original not remake) I'd love to see this kind of stuff in the game...it would be a shame not to have it :( How about taking the "Minecraft" inspiration/approach to the next level with DayZ? lol! Maybe Rocket should think about accepting the help of talented modders who *will work for FREE*. There could be a "review" process for accepting work etc., and strict guidelines, but it could allow for faster original content creation. Just look at the ArmA mod community and the amazing things they produce... Now imagine if DayZ had modders co-ordinating directly with the devs on assets/maps. Just a thought I'll leave ya with ;) -

I really love the extra work you guys are putting into shaping up Chernarus Plus+, but can we use it with ArmA 2 as well? lol! I honestly hope the game starts breaking free from using BI's existing TOH / ArmA assets etc. I want to see content that's exclusive to only DayZ, because to me it's still a mod if %90 of the assets are from BI games I already own IMHO. ^I really hope that's the direction the project is heading towards at some point down the road of development? *I know how time consuming making new assets is. I'm a modder, modeler, mapper, etc., so I'd even contribute for free to make it happen!* ;) -
It's not "nuts" at all...you can't compare two totally different games/engines to figure out the framerate you should have ;) I experience the same frame drop issues in ArmA 2, and DayZ, so does EVERYONE I know regardless of their UBER PC builds. We all run Crysis 2 on Ultra smooth as butter 60-100 FPS though. The engines are two different beasts. The CE3 would MELT trying to do what the RV3 does lol! ;) The bottom line is the RV Engine / ArmA 2 is just a VERY demanding game/engine...that's just how it is :(

Should we remove barbed wire in the next update

Keep the "Barbed Wire", but please add a loot drop for "Wire Cutters", or something that you CAN USE to remove portions of the "Barbed Wire"... ;) Think of how ACE does it with fences etc. in ArmA 2, as in where if you have "Wire Cutters" you can cut sections of fence etc. away to gain access. -
I really would like to give it a try...it looked amazing! Better yet I can't wait until we can all get our hands on this awesome gear! ;) It would be amazing to use the Occulus for ArmA, DayZ, and Project Cars!

If they were smart they'd look around at the other mods to pass the time...lol! Don't forget that I44 (a great 1944 mod for ArmA 2) just got updated! ;) Some of you like to complain about having purchased ArmA 2 just for DayZ and use it as an excuse to bitch about updates... If you are that tired of waiting for a DayZ patch then you can always play some of the "original" A2 "zombie" mods : The Dynamic Zombie Sandbox Degeneration Chernarus Apocalypse Give the team here their time/space... Good things come to those who wait, but in the age of the internets everyone seems to have ADHD here lol!

Avoid the zombies until you have gear...it's not that tough. This game IS NOT designed for noobs who like everything handed to them...Rocket himself has said this many times. It's what I enjoy about DayZ. it's unforgiving and challenging which is why I enjoy ArmA...same principles. *Loading times are mostly your PC, as my loading times are quick (maybe a minute), and on a friends computer with an SSD drive it's instant (a few seconds). *You can't have a private server it's against the rules...again...man up and find gear rather than complaining. If you don't like the mod aside from it's bugs/glitches then don't play it!
