This is probably the best way to fix trust on DayZ using THE GAME ENGINE. If any of you have played ArmA2 you would know you could go into groups and spread your 40 man force out to 5 squads. So why not bring this back? All we have is Group Chat, Vehicle chat and Direct chat. If you are to say join a server with some friends, you can all create a squad for easier communication in game and so you can see eachother (possibly even turn friendly fire off for groups IF possible on Regular and recruit difficulties) Whats the advantages? - You see who is your friends and enemies at a distance. Too many times I have shot my friends and killed them because the bandit that walked in had the same skin (Which is unrealistic because in Real Life, not everyone has the same face and clothing.) - You get to chat directly to those who don't have skype or a mic and are on your "team" - Makes use of the Group Chat How would this help? Two survivalists can Team up and the trust will not be as big of a factor. How? You can tell the man to join your group (Giving your name and or group id a-1-2) or die. If he does join the group, he can not leave until he logs out (preventing him from turning on him later on with the addition of Friendly fire being turned off.) Any constructive criticism on this? I know for a fact this can be put into game as it is already in game. Edit: Forgot to add that you can infact lock squads form what I remember. :3 And if some maybe a Pass protection be put on some squads to prevent random people from joining.

Sounds like you got butthurt over nothing. Obviously saying I hear you and see you join the group or I will hunt you down. He could have just killed you so yes you DO have a choice. You can run, you can fight or you can join. You must be the "retarded" one. -

No one ever changes there faces. Almost everyone in game has the same face then when you have ghiellies you can't even see the face. You can't see the arrows across the entire map from what i remeber but only at a certain distance. This would only be implemented (the arrows) until you no longer run into people who look like you. :P I'm sure a simple script could get rid of the annoying "enemy at grid 005741 personally I get lonely when I play, I like the company of people and listening to people talk when I play. Not some much I need them as I have survived for 4 days now on a single life almost completely by myself (only had some friends one night for a couple hours) I see where you are coming from but I would love to see DayZ combine with the radio mod (can't remember) giving players the option to talk over long distances. -

Again, this is just a saftey net feature for those who WANT to be in a group but find it hard to trust others. A simple log in and out would change that and then the player can kill everyone in the group once again (after leaving.) If they wanted to kill the player then they simply don't join the group. Its quite that simple. Yes I agree but with the way hackers have changed this game no one trusts another person anymore. This would restore the trust and like I just said above, people still have a choice. Its not binding anyone to ANYthing. -

When there are 2 of us (me and my friend) and 3 guys dancing around each other You can't tell who is who when they all have the same skin and weapons. Its Impossible. -

Whats the point in murdering people Killing zombies if there is no reward? Here is my proposal. 2, 5, 10, 20 kills 100, 250, 500, and 1,000 kills on zombies unlocks you four different skins. 100 KSK scout (The original bandit skin. Since it doesn't blend in, I think 100 kills should be fair.) 250 Would unlock The British camo that can be found. 500 unlocks a USMC skin which comes with ArmA2 original game. 1,000 Will give you the Ghielle suit. How would this work? When you get x kills, if you have an open slot in your Inventory it puts the skin into it and players have the options to put it on IF they want to. Civi Skin Update: Make the three Civi skins 3 different skins. Skin 1 skin 2 and skin 3. That way if you have the All black skin, everyone else sees it as all black. Possible addition of more skins just added in like how the ghielle and camo's are now. ? :)

Whoops, totally forgot the axe has infinite ammo. But farming that many zombies would be rather hard don't you think? Who would want to sit and farm 2,000 zombies? Just my 2cents. -

It does. Zombie kills will give you a chance to slowly work your way up through the camo's or you can simply wait and try to find the Camo in a building. Rewarding the sneaking types of players AND the people who love to kill zombies. The only people who would "benefit" from this would be hackers with god mode. But most of them spawn in whatever they want anyways. I don't see who would not benefit or be at a disadvantage form this as there are plenty of zombies to go around. -

The only way it shows Player killed player is in the face of TK's or Killing someone from the enemy team (Survivors are Blufor, and Zombies are OpFor from what I can tell) Meaning the only way it would show a PVP log is if everyone was in FFA (which isn't possible) or if half were zombies and the other half were blufor. Good Idea, but will never happen. Also. what happens if you come across a group of 10 people and kill them all then get deemed a cheater? Thats not fair in the slightest. -

I stoped playing for about a month or two. I get back on. I get killed every single time. I can no longer play because everyone is trying to kill eachother and I end up having to kill people as they always try to double cross you. Either way a rewards system for Camo's should be implemented. Killing being one way. Maybe Zombie kills? 100, 250, 500, and 1,000 kills on zombies unlocks the skins? New proposal? Yes yes? -
1) Guns! More and MORE guns! Although I HATE AK's with a passion. It feels like there are no where near enough of them. I personally model and create 3d weapons (mainly for Fallout series and Skyrim/ES4) and I have way too many guns designed and all without a use as of now. I would personally like to see the G36 family (all including the MG36) Make it into game and the VSS and AS Val. (If you would like to see some of my 3d models or my 2d gun designs then by all means ask and I will give you a link or post the pics.) 2) Ammo! Don't you hate it when you have 5.56mm rounds but for some god awful reason, you can't take the bullets from the M16 and put them into your G36 mag? Me too! I would love to see you guys implement a script so that we can pick up rounds (Stacks up to 500-1000 per slot?) and all mags turn into "empty" mags until filled. Which filling should show a little animation and be REALISTIC and take time to fill each mag. This would add +1 to the realism which is why we are all here ;) Also (On a MAYBE note) Make it so pigs and 249's Mags can ONLY be filled with Linked ammo. (requires a bullet +1 link to make one linked round) So summed up, Bullets take up a spot in inv. and mags take another. Bullets can only be inserted into correct mag, but makes it so rounds can be changed between mags. 3) Flashlight and batteries! Already in game! Didn;t find them so I assumed they weren't in game. 4) New Gamemode! Everyone knows of Evolution 2.0! But who has ever heard of Evolution Z!?! Basically the same as Evolution BUT you have to cap the towns and the Zombs will take them back, all while having to keep an eye out for the other players. Sorry not Evolution but Domination 0_o 4.1) Markets! For towns that are capped by players, a market will be set up (one building) You can purchase guns and ammo, with some form of currency or just being able to get what ever gun you want for free (as that would be a good place to find people and kill them) Gamble for a new gun? Obviously the merchant will only have common things and not alot. Maybe make it random. And IF not a building. maybe FO3 status with a walking Merch. (only one or two per server! Making them super hard to find) 5) Player Skins! Have possibly a place in game or when you first pick, have it so you can go through all the Character skins that are in the game. Obviously, no ghillie but everything else is free to use :) I had more but I can't remember ATM... 0_o I'll edit when I can.

Even in normal Arma 2 all guns (excluding pistols) are OHK. Don't change the gun damage, unless you can do limbs. 3 shots on arms and legs, 1 shot on chest/Head with rifles. 6 shots with pistol and 3 chest 1 head. IRL (which as far as I know this is a Zombie Realism Mod) No normal average human would know how to patch up a gun wound to the chest thus being a one shot then they go into bleed out mode. As for head shot. Instant death. The only way you will survive a headshot is if it was a 9mm round. So that should be insta death. As for legs and arms, breaks the bones and makes you loose blood. Making it realistic. Anyone can bandage a leg or arm correctly. As for loosing you group. I just wish they had a way to spawn on your group. or make a Group IN game and beable to put a Passcode on the group so only you and your friends can join, but then you can spawn on them, or teleport to them once every 4 hours. Just my two pennies.

These guys that have no idea what arma is' date=' and it's features, annoys me. Do some research. AS Vitorez and the full G36 series is natively presented on arma, with proper high grade ballistic tunning. Only thing needed to do is add two lines of code in the editor to allow them to spaw. SYMBOLIC SAGE Not to waste the whole topic tough, i repeat here, that i would like to see some features we have in fallout: braking down ammunition, adding and removing reddots and scopes on guns, and jamming. ALso, allow removing amunition from magazines and putting in new ones, would be interesting. Eventually having a separete entity for bullets could even give birth to a currency and an economy system in the game based on players changing equips by ammunition. Good try though! :D (I know they are in the game thats why I want them added into the mod) BUT the AS val is NOT in the game. Just the VSS. And indeed it could make an Econ system. Prone. Ghillie = No game. I would rather have all the skins from Arma II OA, PMC and Brit. All them BUT the ghillies. Ghillies will make you so easy to run away. It just wouldn't be fun. THEN kids would complain about how the zombies saw them but "zombies aren't smart enough" then everyone will want a ghillie suit to be a zombie proof suit. Ghillie = No in my mind.

Today, I was playing with a couple of friends, after they almost all logged I was left with just me and my friend Trevor. and we were going about our business and then out of no where he told me he was at -200 blood. So we kept raiding. Soon he was down to -600 and he said his screen was like as if he had 12k. 0_o Zombs would hit him but he could never die from them... So he started telling me to kill him because he didn't want to get banned for this, so I shot him in the face and he died. But he was invulnerable to zombs. Just giving the dev. a heads up that this may have been a one time glitch but its a glitch none the less. Also when we found out he was inv. to zombz is the minute I shot him.
