Not exactly new, (just haven't really posted before) I've died in plenty of frustrating ways before, however this one now just irked me enough to look into suggesting a fix. The problem is me being completely vulnerable for 20-40 seconds every time i log in. It's not a nap where I'd wake up prone, at least having lower visibility. it's my character, standing there, unable to react in any way for the better part of a minute. This is epically awful when I'm forced to log out due to server instability. It wouldn't be a complaint if i had complete control over my logs every time. There are several things that could be done to fix this, it doesn't have to be invincibility. 1. Fix server stability (i know that this is currently being worked on and the game is in alpha) - Every time the servers go down I'm in the same position of having no control of where of log in. I can be careful all I want, but getting me killed because of a server drop is just cheap. I would have no complaints on where I log in/out if server drops where a rarity. 2. Start me in a prone position - if you want it to be like my char just laid down for a nap then that's fine, but start me down on the ground, not standing up like some target dummy. 3. Don't have my character's shoot-able body actually load in until the world and controls are ready for me to use. You don't need to give an advantage to the person logging in, but i think that it should be fair or at least give them some kind of chance. I'm not afraid of being shot on login, I dislike not even having a chance to defend myself.
