Probably the funniest one I can remember off hand is when I logged into the game and saw someone standing right in front of me, staring right at me. Instinct took over and I lit him up only to hear the little noise that Teamspeak makes when your friend joins your server. It turns out he had been playing for a little while before and had came back to wait for me to log in. Well, he didn't get the reception he expected! A half dozen bullets from a M14 will ruin anyones day. He was not a happy camper. Atleast he got to keep his gear... Which was a bonus.

Don't worry, I don't shoot new spawns. Vehicular manslaughter is my chosen method for dispatching new spawns. I only do it because I care.... about myself.

Not meant to be fun for everyone? That's quite possibly the most retarded thing I have ever heard said about a game. So why should people want to pick up the stand alone? Why the hell should they want to play a multiplayer survival game that they get absolutely no enjoyment from? The less playing, the less possible player interactions that can occur. Which is what I thought Dayz was actually meant to be about. Forget running simulator... We'll just crawl everywhere! Well... We will crawl between military spawns and the hospital all day because who the fuck wouldn't have fun doing that?

Most of the time, I just kill everyone. It took a little while for me to realise that most people don't deserve any respect or mercy in this game.

To all of you people with your moronic statements like "It's meant to be harsh and unforgiving". Well, it's also meant to be fun! What's the point in playing a game where it feels more like work than your bloody day job? I don't even know why I bother. Gaming was so much more fun when it wasn't inundated by millions of idiots. The same idiots that have destroyed every single good game in the last 10 years.

Ghosting someone by server hopping is not impressive, it's cheating. You knew for a fact that you were about to get blasted by the guy with the SVD, so you effectively combat logged. We may be bandits and murderers or as some people call us "assholes" and "dickheads"... but we don't cheat.

Interesting way to start a comment that then proceeds to go on to basically say that you know best and everyone else is "full of shit". If you want to run around with a Winchester then crack on! No one is going to stop you. Well, I may stop you... but it will be with a bullet. ;)

That's all fine and well but I'm not going to run around and purposely gimp myself just to show how much heart I have. We have all ganked people with hatchets at one point or another but it's not exactly my go to weapon. As Rocket himself has said the leveling system is based on gear... for the moment. I would rather have the ability to engage people in every scenario that run around with a winchester and get out ranged by a superior weapon.

Clearly he meant the NEAF. I have to agree with him, I can't think of any scenario where it would make more sense to slowly crawl across open ground after killing 2 people, especially at a player hot spot like the NE airfield.

None of those things are a huge problem anymore. You may have some problems on newer maps but for the most part the Mod works pretty damn well.

Oh god, it was so cheap but their tears of rage were so delicious. I have a history of vehicular manslaughter in dayz, so much so that people from my server no longer accept pick ups from me. Not because I try kill the people that want a pick up but because I try to hit anyone I come across on my travels as a taxi driver. So here I am driving around, heading North from Cherno passed the power station. I just minding my own business when I saw 4 people running up the middle of the road. I'm not sure if they were going to ask for a lift or if they were going to try and shoot me, but they never got the opportunity. I pancaked 3 of them on the first pass and the final guy was trying to loot a weapon from one of the corpses when I plowed into him. They spammed side chat that people like me "ruin the game". Even though they had spent an hour before hand killing fresh spawns at the coast. Remember...Always look both ways before crossing the road. :rolleyes:

I once killed someone while hipfiring with the Bizon, just because he ran around the corner and gave me a fright after I had just logged in. I went fully auto and mowed him down. It only took the entire clip... My squad and I once snuck up behind some bush wookie and I no scoped them with an M107. Believe it or not, I missed with the first shot! Hahaha... The hackusations began soon after.. Apparently all 5 of us teleported behind him. Yeah, because I have so many hacks that's why I spawned an M107 and not an AS50. Other than those 2 occasions I don't think I have ever fired my gun on purpose without aiming downsight. Plenty of accidental discharges though.
