Have to admit, even when there is a rivalry between WNLD and CFF. :) -
Better than that "other" game?
Flaschenkind (DayZ) replied to Jetcutter's topic in New Player Discussion
1) DO NOT get attached to your gear! 2) DO NOT get attached to your gear! 3) DO NOT get attached to your gear! Remind: This will save you a lot of QQ Even if you are lucky enough to avoid being shot, there is a debug area for everyone. Also keep in mind: This game is still an alpha. There are lots of bugs and esp. the inventory-system of ARMA 2 is a pain in the ass, till you get used to it. It has never been designed for the purposes of a realistic survival-game. So save time and energy and try to be patient with Rocket and his crew. -
European DayZ Community Servers by BR4INZ Squad
Flaschenkind (DayZ) replied to BR4INZ Chopper Bob's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
The namalsk server is currently running with the well-known rmod. So we got some nice new vehicles (light-armored vehicles, no OP cars) and additional choppers on the namalsk-server. At the moment the guys are working on uniforms, unique for each participating squad/clan. If you do not know Namalsk - it's great for survival and PvP! Gaining food and supplies is much harder, hypothermia and disease are serious issues. Contact with other players is preassigned due to the smaller map-size. Also you have to know - if you got problems to find a vehicle on the public hive servers - not a big deal on the European DayZ Community Chernarus Server! It's not like other private hives with 12 choppers and 75 cars in total (sick! too much imo!) but you will definitely find some (also some custom) vehicles or a chopper in no time. If you are new to the game - no problem! Ask over side-chat or mumble for some help. Almost all players on the European DayZ Community are willed to support you and give some hints about the deeper secrets of DayZ or even share some supplies and vehicles with you! We also got a "Do-not-shoot-freshspawns" policy, so you don't have to fear those lame AS-50 ghillie suit snipers with bad aim around elektro. Little story happened yesterday: Yesterday evening my squad made contact with a lone-wolf, who is relatively new to the game (2 weeks). We showed him how to find the good loot spots, supported him in any way we could and helped to refit a motorcycle he found earlier on. It was a big fun and a good time for him and also big fun for us. Later he accidently ejected from his bike while driving. :) We took his whole gear and will give it back to him today. Enlisten now for the European DayZ Community! Your Application will take less than a couple of hours, you're ready to go in no time. -

Don't you love making others feel miserable
Flaschenkind (DayZ) replied to Demissary's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
That's a definition. Yes, defintions are not written in stone. But I think most people here agree on the following: When you kill people because you just feel happy to do so, I would claim you a cold-blooded murder. Nothing else. When you kill because of wanting/needing their stuff, then you are a murder and a bandit at the same time. Of course: It is a game. You are free to do whatever you want to do. I don't really mind. It's not the way I try to play DayZ, but we need Bandits and cold-blooded murders like you to keep the game intense and interesting. DayZ is also a social experiment as well as a game. Nevertheless, the fact that you respond so snappy is a big hint that I touched a sore spot. -

Flaschenkind (DayZ) replied to Demissary's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
point is: you sir, are not a bandit. Bandits sneak up on people, ambush and robbing them. You are just shooting people because you are too uninspired and cowardly to consider something else to escape from your boredom in DayZ lategame. Problem is: Your gamestyle is the origin of this deadly dullness around you - a vicious circle. I suggest you play a real FPS like CS or CoD, suits better. :) -
My humanity seems to be ridiciously high. Don't what I did, put camo-clothes on, gave two transfusions, I bandaged one pal. Two lifes earlier I had liker over 50.000 Humanity. o_O

Globel Ban #87e1 but Why
Flaschenkind (DayZ) replied to Boehmi's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Auch wenn ich Dir kein Wort glaube und meine, deinen Namen im Bezug aufs Hacken hier schon einmal gelesen zu haben (Irrtum möglich), dein Text in Englisch: (Translation German --> English) Hey there, I was about to play some DayZ today, but immediately got a message stating that I supposedly received a global ban "#87e1". OK, never mind, I thought. So I started to try changing servers just to get the same message over and over again. I supposed, that there is an error with my game files. I tried to reinstall Arma 2 & Arrowhead. After reinstalling Arma II, I tried to download the DayZ mod through DayZ Commander. You need the beta patch for that, but installing it failed prompting the message "wrong CD-key". Now here's my question: What I am supposed to do now? I purchased Arma II and OA only to be able to play DayZ and I'm not intending to buy a new one. And of course - NO - I DID NOT use any kind of cheats, hacks and never modified the config-file. I didn't do anything that justifies a global ban. I hope to get an answer soon. Thank you. Best regards, Boehmi P.S. Apologies for my english, guys... -
Would be nice to know when someone didn't pay the rent.
Flaschenkind (DayZ) replied to timmy aka silence's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I know it sucks, but don't take collecting nice loot too seriously. You will lose it anyway due to hacks, glitches, bugs, bandits, swimming, placing it in cars,tents.....guess you figured it out. ;) -
Your favorite weapon?
Flaschenkind (DayZ) replied to Connorwarman (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
DMR - because it's the most versatile rifle in the game imo. It's unbeatable at night obviously, ammo is really common, 20rnd mags, intimidating sound + it works very well at close combat situations. Once you get familiar with the MIL-Dots, it becomes more handy than you might think on first try. ^_^ -

Banned from DE615
Flaschenkind (DayZ) replied to [email protected]'s topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Hey Joel, saw you playing a cpl of times on DE 615. It's a good server, had a tent there too. It's a Lingor Server now... :( Afaik there was a starting msg, saying that using a hacked-in gun results in a ban. Feel sorry for you, always stick to the guns mentioned in the DayZ Wiki and destroy hacked items immediately. Regards, -CFF-wesleySNIPES -
What is it about DayZ
Flaschenkind (DayZ) replied to broguenz's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I became really addicted to DayZ when starting playing with a squad. I never had so much fun and so much thrill in a FPS (combat simulator ^^) before. When I hear shots or a vehicle nearby my heart almost stops every time. :o Taking and giving commands, coordinate maneuvers, digging out fox holes, developing plans in a almost 100 % hostile environment, where everybody and everything is first of all a threat, or just in short: It's the thrill of imminent danger behind every corner/hill/wall/tree what keeps me and my squad going on. -
Any Tips For Finding Vehicles?
Flaschenkind (DayZ) replied to Airman (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I'm also searching for cars or, even better, a heli for 2 weeks in a row now. No luck, but I recently I started searching the very north of the map for camps. It's quite successful. It takes s 60 to 70 minutes straight walk from the left edge to the right, most of the times you will find stuff. Also try to make a search pattern with friends, so chances of finding vehicles and tens will increase. -
This game is extremely unfriendly to Deaf players.
Flaschenkind (DayZ) replied to nkato's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Yeah, I agree, that realism is one huge feature of DayZ. Besides that, it's still a game and all playes should have the same inital conditions to guarantee fair play. Maybe something like a external tool as handicap aid could help by amplifing sounds and giving optical hints to determine range and direction of noises (e.g.: Green dot on left screen border = very near noise to the left). To prevent this from being a hack, a copy of this tool is bound to the individual GUID and will be only given to those, which can grant proof of their handicap / deafness.
