  1. I agree.. I've been watching the spawn rates in Cherno(because that is my home), and there are more drinks, shotgun shells, and 45 ACP rounds than cans of food. Like 5:1.. Don't even get me started on bandages. I think a "tweak" is in order.

    Throwing cans.

oh I have to agree with the OP. I can throw them just fine.. the whiskey bottles are fun even, but I don't see the zombies going aggro on them. they just continue to saunter around them. I had expected them to freak out as they do around smoke
  3. Instead of armbands.. just have factions wear specific "garb" that go with a faction that can easily be just as distinguishable. Whatever ARMA II already gives you.. caps, bandanas, helmets, keffiyehs, etc..
  4. YES but lower spawn rate of selected weapons. Draw out that "middle game"
  5. I had 1 pasta, 1 sardine, 1 coke and 1 pepsi.. life came a knockin', but when I came back almost 2 days later, I had nothing and was starved and died. I was on day 2(my personal best), and all my progress and diligence went out the window. This shouldn't be "DayZ: Not for Casual Gaming"
  6. Looking at the bigger picture, the overall experience would be enriched by not having to worry about logging back in, because, after all, this is a game and we can't be expected to baby sit the computer. If this was a facebook game then I can understand. You balance accessibility with game mechanics. The stakes are already high as they are. I know when I sit down after taking a break from this game, I want to continue with my journey where I left off(currently sick and freezing with no matches and 4 bundles of wood) this is just taking control away from the player.

    Melee Weapon Petition

I love the zombie genre and that is why I am here. I know it's only an alpha, but for this type of game to hypothetically only be about the gun play is absurd. The subtitle for this game should be "If there is a will, there is a way". I agree there are some circumstances that should always put you on death's door step, but if I'm out ammo and a lone crawler is after me, I'd like to do something about it.
  8. I don't want to start a new thread, but I've searched a lot and I have not found anyone bring up the whole "juke" thing when zombies jump to your back almost every time. I don't get to carry high level weapons at this stage so it I assume it is more apparent for a particular style/level of play, but I notice two things: - Zombies juke in the opposite direction of your crosshairs - given they are close enough, will nearly teleport to your back no doubt survivability will shoot up when these two issues are resolved/tweaked.

    WTF a jet ?

It is interesting you mention this. I was in the parking garage building in cherno and a bandit looking player flew right through the building in front of me while I was hiding. A minute later a large group of bandits took me out. My faith in humanity was lost by a tiny bit after that
  10. I appreciate the effort in creating more elements for players to manage and regulate, but I would just ask, Rocket, that you prioritize these mechanics and release these elements with their counterparts. Temperature and getting sick is fine as long as there is an acceptable way to manage: - weighing time and effort spent in finding and building a fire - mitigating exposure by equipment: rain gear, coats, boots, etc... - or when all else fails, leave up to chance with pain killers and a fire. Camping and survival techniques happens to be a hobby of mine, and I wish I could build a fire out of fallen limbs around dormant trees, or given enough limbs make a simple lean-to for shelter. I just need a good knife to baton firewood.
