Allan, go ahead and investigate but I personally think pdxmark is full of it. I've heard SOME "slightly" inappropriate INSIDE jokes but never anything full blown inappropriate like racism, sexism, etc. I doubt he ever joined our TS3 server in the first place

SumoS, look at the time stamps between the several posts that I made regarding the AS50 TWS. I will admit, I was incorrect with using "legal" but if you read later, I replied that as soon as I found/figured out it was an illegitimate weapon, I dropped it immediately. Vortech has since added an automatic kick for illegal items. When we've had a fellow OCN members break the rules, I believe the player had been warned. So if you want to criticize us for it, I'm pretty sure every other community owned/run servers that there has been special warning afforded to their members.

Rushing almost always leads to spraying which I personally wish CoD would better the overall quality by punishing Spraying. Of course I had to thank you as I find a LOT of people on all sides of our platform war using "auto-aim" in place of "aim assist". To your added comment, I can sometimes understand that mistake but when it comes from people that perfectly understand and speak English, there's no excuse. First, the built-in aim assist is very minor but it is still there however. Second, on the Xbox 360 at least there's a default preferences window/page/whatever you want to call it where you can 'disable' the aim assist BUT I don't know if and how much reduction it truly does.

I was never a fan of the red dot sight back in CoD 4 but since then, CoD has added almost an infinite number of other sight attachments which makes the red dot sight seem better balanced out. However I still prefer iron sights. (A reason I had been a long time fan of CoD for it allowed those who wished, could aim and shoot accurately.) A lot of PC shooter TRAILERS even, I feel disappointed because the trailer is promoting the extremely inaccurate Run & Gun play style, which is a major turnoff. (For me at least.) First, I'd like to thank you for using the correct term, aim assist instead of auto-aim. A lot of ignorant people mix those two up quite frequently. There is some aim assist but it isn't overpowering especially when compared to how overpowering some weapons in video games are over other weapons, such as the three round bursts from every CoD since 4 with additions like the AA-12, etc. So the aim assist on consoles is commonly exaggerated.

As I said, played a single season and haven't touched in since. Calling it the special Olympics is a bit extreme, I wouldn't take it that far.. How does one's platform preference say about their Skill? A loser* that abuses an OP weapon/mechanic on a PC video game is no better than a loser that abuses an OP weapon/mechanic on a console video game. Some people just don't prefer the handicap and complexity of PC shooters. Like, I prefer the smooth aiming of a controller instead of the rigid, hyperactive mice. A good Skilled player is still a Skilled player no matter the platform. * - Not used in the sense of someone's Win/Loss but of being a complete "loser".

In a way I do understand the frustration but I personally haven't an issue myself. (*knock on wood*) I know I'd hate having to wait at least two months but things happen and everything doesn't revolve around any single one of us so we need to sit patiently and hope for the best. There are quite a few private hive servers but I wouldn't necessarily say there's all filled with hackers. I just wanted to let you know that none of us bought or paid for DayZ itself. Just hang in there, bud!

Technically, you didn't BUY DayZ like the rest of us haven't PAID for DayZ. You BOUGHT ARMA 2 & ARMA 2 OA (or Combined Operations). Remember, this is the DayZ mod website forums. Until he's back and well enough, the will be major delays. It's quite unfortunate that people are being incorrectly or accidentally banned from one reason or another but whining isn't going to speed everything up. Again, no one BOUGHT or PAID for DayZ as it's a FREE mod!

Inverted never made sense to me outside aircraft.. Why would someone want to look up with a weapon by pulling down on the stick? But I guess if that's how YOU need to play, as it isn't the consoles' or the controller's fault.

How does one judge "competitiveness" in video games? I sure different people will have different guidelines and such. Which video games are included in determining being "hardcore"? I'd like to admit that I've played competitively in CoD but I've never played the top levels of tournaments or MLG. I played a single season on Gamebattles a few years back. I was a "strategist" (if you will) for clans and teams back on CoD 4 MW, where I'd be "temporarily recruited" to test and attempt to break their strategies as a single person or with a partner. Does someone have to be playing in tournaments or leagues to be considered "hardcore'? I play intensely when it comes to piloting jets in BF3. I seriously dislike players whoring advantages and I play to win but I play fair, does that make someone "hardcore"? All of this is intended to show that a person's preferred platform doesn't depict their style of play. Neither does someone's Skill or talent.

Why would you want to invert the joysticks on a controller? So you're graphics card cost over $400-$500? If so, what's the purpose of spending over that much for a single piece of hardware? The cost of hardware for my PC was $1,000 total. I'll never understand why some choose to drop grand after grand building a PC purely to run the biggest, most power hogging video games with the baddest graphical settings. Money spent doesn't make a hardcore gamer.

What's with the war between consoles? I have an Xbox 360, PS3, Wii (unfortunately) and a gaming PC. My favorite by far is the Xbox 360 but the gaming PC comes in with a close second. I love controllers, it feels better and more natural therefore more comfortable. I've been a console gamer pretty much my entire life and I absolutely HATE keyboards with a burning passion. I would murder EVERY single last keyboard if given the chance. Another reason for preferring the Xbox 360 over the rest is online communication for its simplicity but great quality. I love my little, white Xbox 360 headpiece as it's sensitive enough to pick up speech but leaves a lot of unwanted background noise out. I don't have to worry about holding some stupid key in order to chat. At first, I was hesitant on purchasing ARMA 2 CO as I knew it'd be K/M dominate but I was surprised by how much I was able to do with a wireless Xbox 360 controller. I've since gotten used to using K/M for DayZ but I will flick on the controller for running long distances, driving or flying. I still have that burning hatred for keyboards but I deal with it b/c I love playing DayZ. Someone awhile ago in this thread made a comment about controller users are ONLY casual players or straight up noobs. Despite his acceptance of people using controllers, I would like to formally declare that person as a complete moron but I say that with all the respect in the world. Sure, I do enjoy being able to sit back and game with a controller but it can easily be used competitively. Look at it like this too, why would you WANT that advantage of a K/M and WHY are you afraid of the claimed major disadvantage of a controller? A reason I dislike OP weapons in the hands of should be "experienced" players. Take a disadvantage and beat other people with it, it hurts more. It'd be like some hardcore gamer being beat by some chick, it BURNS! There's no pride or honor in gaming these days, everyone is looking for the quickest, easiest and best advantage possible. I had to read this over a couple times. I thought he made a mistake, using the wrong domain. Silly me... lol Unfortunately, a couple of our servers are having a bit of an issue right now. The admins are working to fix the issue and we're sorry for the inconvenience.

I wasn't directly called out and I don't think it was by another DayZ admin AND the only server that I play on is 1992. (For Cherno) I had a AS50 TWS that I picked up ignorantly not knowing it was hacked and once I found out it was a hacked weapon, I dropped it immediately. Can you PROVE that you were "hacked" by someone scripting on another server?

I haven't banned a single person.. Oh, I never realized that one's persistence is directly linked to being innocent! The other day we had someone that was already globally banned from CBL by a different server that attempted to log on our 1992 server but was immediately kicked, and within a few minutes, tried attempting to log back with different GUIDs every time like 5 times. Plus another player that we have enough evidence against that its realistically indisputable. It however HAS to be the fault of a highly respected server moderator with hundreds of bans upheld by CBL, right?

Hello, I keep having DayZ crash after I've been playing from about 30 minutes to about two hours. What happens is that the graphics on screen starting going crazy and flickering all over the place. Eventually, DayZ crashes and I receive a 'ARMA 2 OA has stopped workin'g error window. If DayZ Commander was still open, there's a 'DayZCommander has stopped working' error window. Whether open or not, if I attempt to open DayZ Commander after the crash, it would automatically show the same '... has stopped working' error window. Starting yesterday, I started having a DayZ Commander error log spam my screen and eventually all but one of the log windows would close. I took a screenshot of the error log which will be attached below. All of this will be fixed if I restart my desktop but it's temporary as DayZ will eventually crash once again. I haven't noticed this on other video games but when I first started playing DayZ, it didn't happen and it's only recently started. I've checked my video drivers and they're alright. I've re-downloaded DayZ Commander and it still crashes. My temps are nice and cool. Which will be attached below too. I have no idea on what would be causing this issue and I want/need it fixed. If any ideas, please let me know. Thanks!

It's "He said, She said" and Vortech kinda sounds like a dude. (Except his "i'm so pretty" from above sounded pretty feminine!) How are we supposed to KNOW that you were previously telling the truth. It wouldn't be the first time that someone tried lying to our face.

I would especially like to point out that Rush Crush is an unbiased, side party who still agrees that this player was legitimately banned. These threads do seem a little indefinite..

There's been a lot of people having some crush on Vortech lately. I'm jealous! I will admit, playing on US 1992 yesterday was amazing! Besides having my screen spammed with people being 'kicked' due to restrictions, it was pretty fun despite it being slow.
