Any items left in a back pack and placed in a tent or vehicle will be deleted on server restart. The pack will remain but the items in the pack will be gone.

Try getting in the drivers seat and back out then trying the repair. You may need to do this for each repair.

To use the flashlight you have to remove it from your toolbelt and equip it. It will however replace your handgun so if you have a handgun you need to put it in your pack first. Once you have it equipped you need to hit the L key to toggle it on and off. If you have chemlights in your inventory pus the F key until chemlight id displayed in the top right corner of your screen then push left click to throw it. You can then go and pick it up and carry it for a light source. To start a fire you need to have both a pile of wood in your inventory and matches on your tool belt. Press G to open your inventory then right click on you box of matches, this will give you the option to make fireplace left click to make the fireplace. Once you have done that scroll to light fire and left click.

My main problem with the new food and drink names is the amount of space and time they take. Instead of being able to look in your backpack inventory and see what you have quickly you now will have to scroll down forever to see what is in there. You already had 6 different kinds of meat to deal with now you add several new food and drink options. The inventory and pack UI is already a pita to deal with and you just made it much worse.

What info do you need? Tents are broken. If you put gear in a tent or leave it empty on the first server restart the tent is locked. Anything new you put in the tent will disappear and anything you take out will respawn on the next server restart. If you take everything out of the tent and pack it and move it the tent will respawn with the gear that was in it. So you cn store any new gear without putting up another tent and are duping everything you take out of a tent. So basically you have servers flooded with gear that is being duped because the tents are broken.

Just another one of those bugs the devs can't be bothered to fix but hey, at least you can eat raw meat now. lol

1) Don't know. 2) Public servers your stats go with you, private servers your stats stay on that server. 3) Way too many KOS people play DayZ, get used to it.

The zombies aren't that much harder, yes they aggro easier and gather faster but they still ignore you at night and don't hear SD weapons or ammo. So you can just stand out in the open and pick them off at your leisure. The night is your friend, especially if you have NVG's and silenced weapons. I used to play on a server that had one hit knockout zombies. You died a lot on that server. What they need to do is fix the zombies so that they can't walk through just about anything. I don't care if they open doors and such but just walking through things is just stupid.

I don't even bother with the epi pens. You can't use them on yourself and I just shoot the zombies if someone else is knocked out.

I generally mute everyone but the admins anyway so it doesn't really matter to me. It seems like too many people just can't shut the hell up so mute it is. lol

The plain fact is that Rocket abandoned the Mod to focus on the standalone and the hackers took over forcing people to go to private hives to have any kind of an enjoyable gaming experience. Then the private server owners started modifying their servers to get people to play on them. The wheel keeps turning...

Sigh, why can't people just live and let live? People play as they want so they find servers that fill their needs. If you don't like a particular server go look for another that suits you better People that complain about private hive servers and tout the benefits of the vanilla servers sound like pretentious hipsters.

I'm a bit confused. You are trying to be realistic yet if I am reading this correctly, you can now put 6 weapons in a coyote backpack along with having 24 slots? How is that in any way realistic?

Do you have a tool box? Because you need one to repair vehicles.

I was wondering what in the OP made people think he wanted to take a weapon out of his pack? He said switch from his pistol to his main weapon, nothing was said about taking it out of his pack.

Yeah, I read that as he was adding features to DayZ Commander and wanted tester for that, not the game.

A white listed server is a private server that maintains a list of players that are allowed to play on that server. The best way to get on the white list for a server is to check their thread in the private server section of these forums. They will have a thread that tells you what you need to do to get on their list as it varies by server.

They are safe because you have to be on the whitelist in order to play on the server. If there are any problems they can be fix quickly and you generally get to know the players better as they play together more without all the random players.
