I was driving to work yesterday and drove by a warehouse and they had a helicopter main rotor sitting on a flatbed trailer and my first thought was wondering if I had room in my inventory for it... too much Dayz.

Heli crashes only spawn loot when the server restarts. What is there is all there will be until the server restarts.

Chemlights are the way to go at night if you don't have NVG's. The blue ones are the best. Flashlights are too damned buggy to bother with and flares attract zombies. Playing at night is great, you don't really have to worry too much about the zombies, they don't see you worth a damn at night. You really only have to worry about other players with NVG's or rifles with NV scopes. While the DMR is the only sniper rifle that works with NVG's all the assault rifles I have tried work well with the NVG's so you do have to worry about other players more because if they have the NVG's and you don't you are easy prey if they chose to hunt. I will say that it can be funny as hell to watch other players at night when you have NVG's and they don't. I just sit off somewhere and watch people come and go and most of the time they never even know you are watching them.

Horses would be fun. They could add hay bales as loot that you could find and something like corral fence parts to build a corral to keep them in. I wouldn't think it would be all that hard we already have wire fencing and tank traps. Perhaps a water trough to fill with water and big water tanks to go fill with water to fill the trough. Having more fun things to do besides just surviving would be a good thing.

You were too close to him to hit hm with the hatchet, you need to be a bit away form things to hit them with the hatchet properly.

They took it out in the last patch.

The hatchet is great for killing zombies, they don't hear you kill the other zombies and it is a one hit kill, plus it has 10,000 shots. lol

It's never too late in the game to make a camp.

If you are coughing that means you are sick. Now when you are sick your blood slowly drops until it get down to 6000 then it stops going down. If you eat your blood will go back up but then it will slowly go back down to 6000 again. If you let it stay there for a couple of hours the cough will go away on it's own and then you can eat or get a blood transfusion to bring your blood back up. Or you can try and find antibiotics but they are quite rare. If you decide to let the sickness run it's course you will need to be very careful around the zombies because you will be low on blood until the cough goes away. It will go away on it's own, I've been sick several times and it works. I guess I just don't have enough sense to come in out of the rain and cold. lol

If you are such "adults" why have you come here to bad mouth the Happy Isle server and why do some of your admins keep trying to join the server? You know most of you are no longer welcome there and banned, so why keep trying. Perhaps you should just run your own sever and stop worrying about the Happy Isle server.

Lol, a sniper stuck on the hotel roof in Cherno. No sympathy at all slick. You might as well make the jump, anyone that would come pick you up will probably just kill you anyway. lol

Oh hell, just put a Cabela's store in each town. It would be a one stop shop.

Ah yes, another everyone has to play the way I want to play thread. There is a reason the first person only servers aren't very populated all the time, the majority of the player base do not like them.

Regular, veteran and expert are the difficulty settings of the server. 3dp means the server allows you to go into third person view, ch means weapons crosshair is turned on. You also have tracers, nameplates and death messages. Expert servers generally will not have any of the settings turned on unless it is third person, regular servers usually have everything but traces turned on and veteran servers have a mix depending on the server.

I would also download DayZ Commander to download and update the DayZ mod and any additional maps you may want to try out. Be sure to run Arma II and Arma II Operation Arrowhead at least once before you try and run DayZ.

Even if you could I would think most of them would turn that off to keep from being message bombed by every idiot that thinks they have a legitimate complaint when they really don't.

Well, to be honest, you should be hunting for that meat before you need it. I always try to keep 2-3 cooked meat in my inventory or pack. If you are going to play solo you have to be a little more prepared at all times.

There are a couple of ways to tell what town you are in. Each town has sign posts on each side of town with the name of the town on them or if you have to, you can log out and back in and the game will tell you where you are. Using one of the out of game maps will help you a lot once you know where you are.

If you play on high population servers then food and drink can be hard to find, on lower populated servers they can be easier to find. Maps can be found in the stores and various other buildings in towns. Stores and apartment builds are good for finding water bottles. The two story building across the street from the store in Cherno is a good place to find many things as are the buildings close to the store in Electro. There are 2 stores and some apartments in Berezino and a lot fewer people go there as it is a bit longer run to get there.

The moral of this story is, be your own man and don't cave in to your friends peer pressure.

First you have to have both Arma II and Arma II Operation Arrowhaed installed and you have to run each one of them at least once. You don't have to actually play them you just have to start them and log in so that the game launches. Second I would use DayZ Commander to download and update DayZ and any of the extra maps. It makes it very easy to download and install pretty much everything. I would try that and see if you can get it to work that way or perhaps someone else can tell you what that error means.
