In other news turns out it wasn't the wiggles! Yayy misinformation. Either way they were crazy as hell Me and a friend spawned in and ten guys were outside robbing someone...apparently they saw us when we spawned. They formed up at the front door to the building and began threatening us take off our pants, all kinds of crazy shit. They opened the door guns drawn when we refused to come out quietly and made their way up the stairs. Armed with pistols me and my friend took out the first three cultists. They began screaming out all kinds of weird shit, you'll never make us wear denim....give us your pants....crazy mofo's. My friend stood up to get a better look outside, he was instantly shot in the head. For real, didn't even last five seconds. They were waiting. I fought on taking them out one by one until the last one fell. Today, is the day the wiggles cultists failed.

The odd part is I'm not new I've been playing the game for about a year now, maybe two. And trust me I'd be laughing my ass off too if it wasn't me. Things just seem extremely different to me now, I've become dependent on a map it seems, something that is luckily improving rapidly. I should probably add we made a big C around the airfield before we actually made it to it haha

If you run at a door for a few minutes you can actually go through it haha. It's very picky about when it works, sometimes Ill run into a door trying to open it and just zip right through. Or it was a ghost.

They all died. I ended up giving most of the gear to the poor bastard they had outside haha. I lost connection to the server afterwards so I can only assume he took the gear and lived a very happy life...I'm trying to be optimistic if you can't tell.

On the standalone my characters been going for about three days so far...I may or may not look for trouble more then I should...

Last time I decided to go explore the north I ended up at the border trying to get to the airfield....when I finally hit the airfield I hit the west one instead of the east one... TL:DR never going back

Well my good sir, I am a happy hobo. I usually use a small farmhouse on the road leading to zel..such a nice spot but it seems like nobody goes there. No complaints.

I was semi afk prone and a guy with a small knife came up behind me distracted by the asshats who decided to grace me with their presence he shanked me. Ohhellno.jpg got up hit him with my wrench, instant k.o! I then bled out cause I didn't know to rip up my shirt

I've come across two fo them so far that I couldn't grab, But I had the option to take the parts off of them. They have both been located under the beds in different spots tried walking as close as possible and using the invintory to pick them up that didn't work either. Anyone know how to grab them?

I did not...That probably would have helped. Lmao. If you can't tell I'm still getting used to the whole dayz scene. Haven't played in forever still getting used to the changes with the standalone

That was the issue they wouldn't pop up in vicinity ab and the scroll wheel option to pick them up wasn't there

I actually managed to fix my own problem. Yay productivity. Basically lie down parallel with the beds facing the door roll and open the top. You should be able to open them. I then died a few minutes later becvause I could only chamber rounds....Couldn't actually load them. Another problem for another thread though, thanks everyone

Well. I walked up to the castle, And there was an M14 AIM just hanging out. grabbed that. Fastfoward about twenty minutes. Ninja mode. Crawl out into the middle of the road everythings cool when out of nowhere a car flies by and hits me. Guy didnt even realize he hit me until I started laughing about it. TL:DR Don't do the worm in the middle of the road.

I've always preferred the LW style. Just because, well, I'm terrible in a team. My combat effectiveness is nearly cut in half when i'm ith a team compared to without one, Where i've been known to make some amazing things happen.Not to mention, Hey. You're alone in a world where everyone, Everything is a threat. I'm looking at you rocks -.- Groups just make you feel too secure, And when that security net is broken, all hell breaks loose. Even in small groups I've noticed signs of extreme panic, that I feel normally wouldn't come from being alone.

For that specific scenario, Pretty much depends on what kind of weapon they have, If its a full auto weapon that I know would mow me down the second I turned to run, I'd pretty much go red dead revolver on them. First person to get the shot out wins. Nothing dancy, I mean, Anyone with a decent shot could hit you at point blank range. My main thing is to stay on the defensive though. I almost never actively engage someone. I've taken down entire groups before doing things along those lines. They want a fight? Well, they fight you on your terms. You pick the place. you pick how they're going to do it, You decide everything.

Welp. Heres a fun one. a couple of people on a server were being...adventurey i guess you could say, And taking survivors. Pinning all of us up in a bus and telling us not to leave the bus or we'd be killed. basically there ended up being a bus full of prisoners escorted by about seven armed men. Time went by and we all started to wonder. Hey guys. theres all of us. why dont we all just make a break for it? That didnt seem like a good idea though so ya know. No one wants to be the dead guy. We went on and we stopped to refuel. Chopper landed. Bus driver got out of the bus. this looked like a huge chance to get away. Still iffy about the whole thing some idiot gets out and runs. the rest of us cheering him on for being that idiot, He's gunned down in seconds. Shit just got real. they took away our music. And they took away our beans </3 We went on and for god knows what reason they thought it would be a good idea to go to the NW AF. Well. We're about halfway there chopper cars everythings fine. what could go wrong? Turns out one of the guys on the bus had been communicating with friends through a third party service the entire time giving out the positions. Well. About five of them set up an ambush on the road. Cars blocking the road. Guys driving the cars all stop. whatthefuckisthis.jpg right then and there my danger senses kick in. Shots were fired the front car gets taken out. Then the back. Choppers just like, wado i do. I only have a huge gun on the side of me... Well this turned into the group being taken out. they let us off the bus. Said hi. Then raged at. Players>Admins Though i think i forgot to mention it was the admins doing this... Wait a second. Now that i think of it, does this even count? ._.

This one to my knowledge is pretty well known. I was in cherno and i went by the church. The bell rang and scared the crap out of me. No big deal cause you know. im awesome. Well. Everything seemed normal.....When over direct chat i hear someone calling for help. A women. Me being the nice person i am ask where he/she was. all i get as a response is help me. By this point i'm pretty freaked out. So i begin to listen for the cry for help. It was coming from the church i concluded. I walked to the door and peered in, i saw a survivor with broken legs, slowly bleeding to death calling for help. I wasn't sure what to expect from this. So i creeped in and surveyed my surroundings. No one was around and i asked her if she was alright. All i heard was help me. so...ya know....guessing she wasn't alright .I walk to her and attempt to bandage her but for some reason the game wasn't allowing me to do it. I relayed the message through direct chat and suddenly the voice became angrier. She began to yell at me for help. Screaming as loud as she could through the mic. I threw my headset off it was so loud :/ I attempted to morphine her but to no avail. It wasn't working. I could still hear the screaming coming from my headset so i got angry and pulled out my weapon. I shot her. Repeatedly. The screaming stopped and i went to walk out of the church. Something instantly killed me as i tried to leave. I dont know what. I don't care to find out. I tried walking outside and was met with a slow painful death. Legs broke and i began to bleed out slowly. As i was on the verge of death all i heard was why didn't you help me? I'm not gonna lie. It scared me shitless. I was lone in a dark room at 3am when this happened. I dont know. If someone was screwing with me, they did a damn good job.

Oh god. This thread again. People always love this story. Actually....I haven't told it on the forums that much. Well basically. Im walking through cherno with a hatchet, Cause you know. Hatchet OP. Well there's some jackasses running around geared to the death in an all out shootout. Anyone who got in their way they killed. It was basically last man standing, I notice a guy taking cover in a building so i snuck around through the back and while we was busy shooting at someone taking cover across the street i smacked him with my hatchet. A lot. I wanted to be sure he was dead :P Picked up his AK 47 and began to open fire on the guy across the street after moving to the second floor of the building. I hear footsteps below me so i prone and cover the only entrance. Nothing happens. A minute later i hear shooting behind me i turn around this guys unloading clips into the wall trying to hit me. The window saved my life lolz. I got up and popped a couple rounds into him and began to fire at the guy across the street. By now there were to my best guess four of us left. Each one of us dug into cover, unloading clips into each other. I ended up running out of ammo and was forced to lay low with my sidearm covering the entrance when i notice the guy across the street had been killed. This left three of us alive, i decided to exit the building to see if i could get to his corpse and pick up his gun. Well by the time i got there one of the people had beaten me to it and was crouched over looting. I Guess he thought it was over. shot him in the back of the head....repeatedly...had to make sure he was dead :P This left me and one guy left alive. Having no idea where he was i decided to see if i could draw him out by running through the street, this was met with heavy gunfire. Really heavy. A saw to be exact. Didn't even know they were part of dayz, But, ok lol. I ran behind a car and was basically forced into a little hole where i entered the fetal position and awaited my death. Oddly enough it didn't come. That is until i left cover, And got sniped by some asshat with a 50cal that was apparently hanging out on the hill the entire time, watching us. what an ending.

right now i use DayZ commander. And it works just find for those things. I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to play them all. I mean, It works for me lol.

Well judging from your equipment that seems to be the safest best bet. Though i'd suggest making sure they don't have much room to maneuver. Maybe walk into one of the smaller towns and suggest one of the smaller houses that don't have any exits besides the main one with the group and position yourself at the door. Throw the smoke grenade run out throw the frag and keep the door covered with your assault rifle. The frag would at least injure all of them. and any escapees would be gunned down as they attempted to exit. I've actually seen this strategy used somewhere, i just can't remember where lol Wow.
