They updated to v1.178 today - seems to have resolved the issue for me. How bout you guys?

Have you updating your router's firmware? I had exactly the same problem and this resolved the issue.

I had this problem too at first - upgrading my router's firmware resolved it. Have you tried this?

Having exactly the same probs here too. Been playing the game since August and it's been fine, but it's just kept randomly freezing on me tonight forcing me to Ctrl + Alt + Del out to see a "not responding" status in task manager. I noticed BE updated to v1.77 today - dunno if that's the culprit... tried re-installing BE to no avail.

2 suggestions, which would be very minor, but cool I think: 1. Rather than have guns with (non-detachable) suppressors, why not find suppressors in military areas which you can attach to guns yourself. Obviously the suppressors would be specific to each gun (i.e. an M9 suppressor would only be attachable to an M9 - and not an M4). Furthermore, it seems daft not to be able to use regular (non-SD) clips in a silenced weapon. Don't know if this is true to life or not?? 2. Be cool if you could see the clip that's loaded into a weapon in your inventory. Therefore when you load a weapon with a clip it would come out of the bag and into the gun - have like a little picture in the bottom right corner of your main weapon slot. Then you could change the mag you want to use. For example, if you had one round left but didn't want to waste it, you could swap it out for a full clip, then take out a load of zombies or whatever. Then later you could load your single round clip back into your weapon and use it to down a cow :P. Not revolutionary changes I know, but it's the details that make these things so great!
