Okay so i know this may sound stupid, and i know it probably won't be put in the game, but what if in DayZ you could find packets of cigarettes? Cigarettes would raise humanity. Lift people's spirits. In addition, cigarettes may add as a comforter to people. For example, if some sort of effect was added when a player killed another player, and the murderer got the shakes or anything, cigarettes would act as an comforter, reducing shakes and heavy breathing, and helping the character to be able to aim properly and shoot properly. Used too much, and a new icon will rise, telling the player that they need to smoke, otherwise the shakes come back for an extended period of time. This idea isn't the greatest, and i put it out simply because it hasn't been before. But i'm just brain storming, giving idea's, even if they are unecessary. Anyway's, tell me what you all think, and please don't go on about how it's a stupid, dumb, idiotic idea, because remember, it's just an idea.

I don't see how having an own blood transfusion would work. You take your blood away.. only to give yourself more blood? This doesn't make any sense to me.

Exactly, and if i were to be in a zombie apocolypse, i sure as hell would want a cigarette to calm me down after a zombie encounter.

If you think about it though, in a real life zombie apocolypse what would be the first things raided from the supermarkets and stores? 1. Food and Water 2. Weapons and ammunition 3. Cigarettes and Alcohol

I know, and that's probably the greatest flaw in the idea. But hey, a games a game, and hopefully kids that are too young aren't playing this game.

But why punish the style of play? There's nothing wrong with being a bandit, they add a more insecure feeling to the game, because not only do you have to watch for zombies, you have to watch for bandits too. And whats to stop a bandit medic who just heals? They would be seen as a hero and would be allowed into the camp, and that would just lead to these medics baiting players who want to team up and taking them outside the camp, only to be ambushed and shot by the other bandits. Not to mention that the players wouldn't make it 10 metres before being picked off by a bandit in the tree line who's waiting for survivors to leave.

I wouldn't mind seeing a PTRS-41 in the game haha, It would shred the shit out any vehicle. And i also wouldn't mind seeing an AK-12, seeming as there are military bases and this is their latest assault rifle they've released.

I like the idea. But we have to remember the game is about survival, and i don't know if rocket will consider to vary the stamina and agressiveness of zombies. But it does make sense, There are more zombies in the south, so it is reasonable to think that they are better fed then up north where players are highly geared. I think it's something to consider, as it will make the game more noob friendly, and more challenging when players are geared up too.

I personally dont find the need for a kill count. The game is about surviving, not how many players you kill. -
I thought the Barrett 50cal. had the record? An English marksman took out a Taliban scout at 3.2k's away i think. And remember, we're in russia, so a lot of these marine weapons and such should be pretty rare to find, but i have no problem finding new weapons in the game.

Not entirely. They may have a reduced agro rate, and maybe even a blend sort of perk, but they would still be able to agro and be pursued by them.

Don't get me started on silent hill. Interesting suggestions, I don't like the idea of a WW2 map though,I think you're thinking within the boundaries of Call of Duty.

You adressed a lot of issues, well done for that. I don't know if you mentioned it, but when firing a sniper you have to account for the drop. There is no way a sniper round will continue at the same volocity from when it's shot to when it hits the target, unless it is at a reasonable distance. Sniper's at long distance aim above the target, accounting for the drop of the bullet and the distance of the target. there is no way in real life you could aim at a body from 700m away and expect the target to get hit just like that. I agree with your weapon mechanism post, there has to be some sort of skill that goes into killing a target from a distance with a sniper. -
I think it's a great idea, a gruesome one, but nonetheless a great one. Maybe one of the side effects after you've butchered a cerftain amount of corpses is that you get a blood lust, and it takes over your hunger icon, and to survive you must kill other survivors to dull this lust for blood.

Research the leaders of the country now and what they have done in their life and you will know what im talking about. It's not about hiding it, the whole way the country is run and system of Government, they're hardly considered to be a democracy at all.

Are you kidding? Russia has hardly evolved from a communist country to a democratic one. Technically Russia is a democracy, but the Government is incredibly corrupt and Communism is still alive and well in lots of parts of Russia.

What he's saying is that the chances of finding an American or British weapon in a part of russia is highly unlikely.

It was just an idea. I know people have to take into consideration that they bought the game Arma2, but i was just appealing to the people who bought the game for DayZ, unaware that a standalone was being made. I don't want to cause any conflict or argueing, but like i said, it was just an idea.
