Well, we all know, without a NVG's or light sources we can't see in the dark, maybe to an extent, but it's basically an overall blackness. So here's what i put forward, if i can't see in the dark, why can zombies? It makes sense doesn't it? Zombies were once human, so they should still have the characteristic traites of a human. So why are they able to see in the dark when i can't? I think this should be fixed. It would benefit players greatly, as they don't have to take extreme procautions when passing by zombies. But i just don't see why zombies can see me in the dark. Maybe a disadvantage of the dark could be that zombies hearing improves, and they are more aware of the noise you make, to suffice for the visual impairement that the night brings. Anyway, tell me your thoughts.

It would just make sense that Zombie's can't see as much as we can't. I don't remember seeing anywhere that zombies have some unnatural ability to be able to see in the dark. I'm just saying, i know this will benefit a lot of players.

Most idea's have been suggested before, but i don't know if anyone has suggested anything about the disposal of waste, it makes perfect sense. I don't like the train idea, and i've made it my clear objective, that if any such thing were implemented int DayZ, i will find it, and i will destroy it, along with everyone inside of it.

I like the idea. It just gives more motive for players to pair up and be friendly, rather then just shoot eachother mindlessly. You have my beans sir.

Exactly, It's not the bandit style of play, it's the mindless killing that Call of Duty has purged the world with. If anything, there needs to be some sort of minor punishment for just plain ignorant shoot on sight kills, otherwise this game will just be like any other game, just mindless, senseless killing without any thought. -
Actually, train a dog well enough, and you'll have your throat ripped out before you can even say "hatchet". Dogs have been bred and used in wars, since the earliest days of man. Having a dog could benefit you in a lot of ways, especially if it's at peak performance. I honestly think a dog would be harder to kill then an enemy player, as it's faster, and more lethal. But we'll just see how and what ways it's going to be used in DayZ.

Wouldn't mind a riot shield, that would be fun. The knife has been suggested, but i like the idea, especially if i can do stealth attacks to players with a knife, that would be awesome. A bean bag gun, that would be incredible. Oh the fun i would have with that gun, and what ODoyle said before, the things i could do with an unconscious player :')

Did you use the search bar? All of these idea's have been suggested before, more then once actually. I remember my first thread i ever made contained the idea of making an in game clan with patches on the vest and sleeve to be noticed in game as part of a unity or group. I'm not trying to be a dick, but so many idea's that new player's on the forums bring, have been suggested many, many times. So please, use the search bar guys. -

Rocket himself has already said that he'll be implementing these ideas. The Arma 3 engine is able to do all of these and incorperate lockers and make basically every building available to enter. Also, why would you want to increase PvP? like, i understand it's part of the game, but shooting on sight and blind disregard to people and their motives is quite arrogant, if anything PvP should go down. -
So.. Who's driving this plane? This is unrealistic. This game is about surviving on the bare minimals of what you have, and jumping out of a C130 isn't very minimal. Who said you aren't a soldier? The game developers. There are no classes to choose from, no perks or advantages, the main objective is to stay alive.

suggestions for a mental health system in Dayz

I love ths idea. Especially the part about getting over the mental health issue by sitting around a fire with another player, this gives people means and motive to actually make friends with players, rather then just shoot them. It wouldn't be all that hard to script in, i think the dev's could do it quite easily. Medication should be hard to find, and should only be in certain places, so you have to risk going to get them. But all in all, i think it's a great idea that should be built on. You have my beans sir. -

This is more of a simulation to a game. People have discussed this so many times before, and rocket will not be implementing and npc's apart from zombies. There are no safe zones in DayZ, you can never be safe, which is what the game is about. You're just going to have to find your own weapons to survive. -
But yeah, it's been discussed many a time before.

Could be an idea. Pretty sure it's been suggested before, just on a higher production scale. I agree with the concept though, the ever spawning can's of beans and sardines are becoming too regular, and if the human race is to survive i think the growing of vegetables is peobably necessary.

Basically all suggestions have been made before in other threads. I don't mind the suggestions, the only one i have a problem with is the wetsuit's. Where would you swim to? Like, i know they're thinking about implementing rivers and stuff, but still. I don't really know anyone who would benefit from having a wet suit, because i honestly don't think many people go swimming regularly in DayZ. -
I just have a problem with the whole becoming one of the zombies sorta thing. What happens when you become a zombie? How long do you live for? Do you have control of your player? So many loose end's need to be accounted for.

I agree. Although i'm not totally for parkour and such, i do agree that a jump animation should be placed in the game, and the falling mechanics should be fixed too. -
US Marines stab the enemy in the side of the neck. I have no problem with this, as if i had a knife and i snuck behind someone, i would certainly want to make the kill as silent and lethal as possible.

Yeah, no. You can choose to be a hero or not. And if you don't want to be a hero then just be a survivor, or a bandit. Nobody's forcing you to help people, it's just a certain playstyle that some people enjoy. Don't sook if you keep getting sniped because you have a hero skin, it was your choice, and you have to deal with the consequences.

But if you're with friends at a certain vantage point you have to make your way all the way back to the spot you were in. I agree with the idea, there needs to be some sort of cooldown on servers, limiting people fro jumping on and off the same server. Maybe like a 15 minute cooldown til you're able to rejoin the same server, this would make sense.

This, this could be a great idea. You get infected, but your exterior looks like a zombie. You're still a person though, as the player has some genetic immunity to becoming infected though. People would still want to shoot you, and you couldn't be with other people as you would be excreting the virus, but i agree, this would be very cool.
