My Hardcore character has managed not to die for a pretty long time. Can't say for sure, (Pre 0.42) but I just swapped out my green ballistic helmet for a black one! I did have a green on but it was so old it would not let me re-spray it black! My current gear isn't very special, now donning all black, apart from the M4 which I took from a guy last night who tried to gun me down and failed miserably!!! Single shot with my Mosin and another to be certain he wasn't getting up again. Decided to take his wep and helmet despite my Mosin being fully tooled, figured I'd have an M4 for a bit before the wipe comes.

My Regular character is currently carrying 8 lamps and some spare canisters =D maybe we could do some funky lighting!

Another Blaze convert, get yourself some snap loaders and you've got an agreeable rate of fire, power and it's quieter than the Mosin and SKS! The shorter barrel is also harder to spot =D

Despite wearing a bright yellow raincoat throughout, I managed not to die! Possibly the most intense session of 'i spy', pro apple stacking and the worlds longest line of gas lamps as makeshift sandbags/ornamental feature. I ran out of HDD space so only captured 2 mins of four of us running with greedy Fraps =/

Not yet! I know there are a few town take-over events coming up, might see if they're doing anything at dawn/dusk or night time! Or I could turn Green Mountain into a giant light beacon!

My Regular characters are always a bit silly. My goal with this one is to amass the most gas lamps I possibly can to illuminate a city or make an image with =D Only have six right now, but next run it will hopefully expand again!

Attack a gas pump with an axe in RL, if it explodes it belongs.

I use the little dot to help grab items when finding things in Vicinity with Tab is misbehaving. . Maybe remove the dot and add a hand symbol which only appears when the player has no weapons equipped to aid picking up loot?

Sadly pre-patch items cannot be spray painted so I'm on the look-out for a new helmet! That character is still alive =D

Maybe we all spawn on the coast because we're all survivors of the wreck at Rify...

Last night me and a friend had the most fun we've ever had on DayZ SA thanks to the mental zombie tidal wave that came after us! It's like the madness of the mod again, zombies are something to fear and it prevents people sitting on their fav hill shooting new spawns. Beautiful!!

In their tiny minds killing = points therefore they are 'winning' =/ I'm sure it's not limited to east coast but south coast too, Kamenka to Nizhnoye is a pretty vast stretch of coastline to appear along and all of them are within reach of a village, city or military base from which you can gear. A lot of people seem to rage over spawning because they want to get to a gun ASAP to go and avenge their death...

Bandits don't KoS, assholes KoS =P Main complaint I've seen is hating on anything trying to add realism and take the game away from CoD. Heart Attacks have not been well received as it prevents them sprinting to the airfield, getting a gun and then sprinting back to the beach to shoot bambis =)

You hate someone and want to kill them because they are trying to help you? I give new spawns surplus shit I'm carrying like tin openers and melee weapon because it can be very annoying respawning in a server that's been up a while and has been thoroughly looted. I dump the stuff on the floor near them and keep my distance in case they are hyper aggressive nutters =P

If that was added I'd love to see the player being able to 'play dead' too. Of course if someone comes up to you they can still see your breath and if they checked pulse it'll be good and strong!

I'd really like to be a part of this if it isn't too late to try and get on the roster! I'm carrying a bunch of gas lamps so could help with illumination if you play on a server with night. Bit of an obscure pastime but I already completed my beret collection! Happy to roam and observe as a citizen.

Hey! I'm using a Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 headset with integrated microphone (USB). (This headset has given me grief since I bought it!!!) It works with TS3, Skype, Steam Chat etc... pretty much any VOIP I've used it works. My voice also comes through fine when recorded on Fraps and in Adobe Soundbooth. I have checked it is set as the default device under Playback Devices. I have checked it is set as the input device on Steam. I have also tested the mic through Steam Chat and it works fine. Yes I am pressing Capslock to speak and the other players are within range. When I try to use Direct Chat in any server on DayZ SA no one can hear me =/ I have checked the input volumes too to be sure they're loud enough. Yep I have searched the forum prior to making this post and the only found solutions were the two written above.

A. Merry Mac B. What ever can stop a heart attack! C. Your location: NW of Kamyshovo in the treeline (Regular Server) D. Blue UN Beret, green backpack, gray top and trousers (were black but both are ruined). I've not experienced the 'Heart Attack' before so not sure what the procedure should be! Messages so far; 1 My pulse feels irregular 2 I feel like I'm going to pass out Woo I survived!! For now at least =D Thanks to the team of curious medics who came online to experiment on a heart attack!

If I don't get a response I quickly type the controls to them to be certain they're not just stupidly new. Some people watch DayZ tutorials that show how to go about killing new spawns but never touch on how to use the controls. Hope you found some more pleasant survivors later on!

Survival sim played from the perspective of the players character. 'I'm feeling Hungry' 'I'm bleeding' 'I'm soaked' Who is telling the character how they died? The character has died! 'I am dead, I got killed by that sniper on a hill top 450 meters away, his name was Barry. Kill cam is possibly the worst idea! If someone gets killed and are shown where their killer was they can tell their friends exactly where to look!

I don't get the thing with Green Mountain, it's a dead radio tower and a great place for me to eat my lunch!

Dean hasn't somehow forgotten all of those features between making the mod and going across to the Stand Alone. I'm sure most of the mod and the best bits of the mods mods will make an appearance within SA given time. If vehicles won't be in for at least 4 more months you can get a vague idea of the time scale here! SA isn't going to be complete for a while, the warning message that appears everytime you start the game makes that pretty clear.
