Hey there! My name is Merlin, inGame and outGame ;) I bought Dayz about 1 month ago and I love it. The game is brilliant. It creates so much tension! Really, one of the few games that actually have that tension and definitely the only game, which makes my hand shake when you're about to loot at Northwest Airfield or at the firestation in "Cherno" how people call it because no one can really pronounce it properly. I think the intensity is mostly created by the player interaction. For example you're very nervous (at least I am) whilst crossing the whole Northwest Airfield. Nervous, because I know high geared sniper squads like to camp and kill everyone trying to approach the barracks, fire station or the hangars. Also it is very hard to find good gear. The more excited you are if you discover a helicopter crash site hoping to find good weapons and maybe a gillie suit. And if you do you're even more careful about what you do. Now I think, you can imagine how proud I was when I eventually scavenged all the good gear, GPS, Rangefinders SVD Camo, M9 etc. Really, the first time in my whole "Dayz Life" I was really happy with my equiptment. Even proud. I couldn't have imagined that a game can take you so much into it (sorry for my bad English, it's not my native language...) Anyways, now the part which I am NOT proud of... Yesterday I was travelling on the very west side of the map near "Sosnovka" above "Zelenogorsk" looking for vehicles since I hadn't found one yet. I planned to set up a small camp to store everything I found. Well, as you know there has been a new patch released recently. 1.7.2.6 I was actually looking forward to it since it was supposed to fix those weird graphic glitches. I wasn't able to loot military areas before, I used to go onto empty servers and then run blind through the military areas in order to get some loot. But besides that it brought another glitch with it: Your interface was not shown. Eventually I found the solution. You had to change some options in the game menu. What I didn't know was that the interface was still bugged. You weren't able to see if you needed food or water. It always showed "green" symbols. I didn't realize until my screen went black and white as you lose blood. My blood was at about 6000 by that time and still I had my "badass" equiptment. First I thought I was bleeding. So I bandaged myself, but obviously it didn't work. 5500 Blood...And I still didn't know what was going on. 5000 Blood...By then I asked some friends on teamspeak what it meant to lose about 10 Blood every 2-3 Seconds. They said I need food and water. Now I was confused...I mean it was all green! Well anyway...Luckily I had some Beans with me, but I just had an empty water bottle. My blood was still shrinking... I looked on the map. Nothing. No lake around me. And the next "residential area was quite a whiel aways as well. ( I was in the "green woods" to that time) I knew I wasn't going to reach the area or a lake soon enough. I still had all my good gear, I had scavenged over the last few days. Now my question is: What would you have done? I certainly did the wrong thing. I did try to cheat (script? I don't know..) I watched a video on youtube on "how to cheat items". So I tried it..And it didn't work. After that I was globally banned. All I wanted was some water! I know I did the wrong thing and I'd like to apologize for that. I cant change what I've done. And I know as well that I did do the wrong thing. And I know that I won't be unbanned. Ouh, that's longer than I expected :D Now back to my topic: What would you have done?
