Yeah, you're just being stupidly pedantic there. The post you quoted is 100% correct, we all have the same access to the same resources in Day Z... hence there is no advantage, get over it.

See The player making the gesture has to disarm and then hold the gesture, the player trying to trust him has the length of time it takes the other guy to put his hands back down and rearm a weapon to notice the chance of an attack. Which is pretty close to how it would go down in RL. -

you know, take the the white flag thing out ( it's stupid) and you have something interesting. I've thought a couple of hand signals would work nicely a few times. For instance, the hands up motion. If it requires the player to unequip weapons then it can have some genuine in-game legitimacy. -

It's greating seeing things worked on and tweeked but there is a lot to be said for a weekly scheduled update..patch tuesday or whatever. -
Personally, I think top priority when it comes to the zombies is to fix their movement, it's jarringly bad. When that's done, then we can think about improving them as a threat.
