The beta download server is overloaded. You can grab it through SIX Launcher and Updater in any case
-
Let's see once we introduce Launcher v2, very soon ;-)

sickboy replied to byteslam (DayZ)'s topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
It's not a typo, it is by design. -
No need for any of that if you use the latest SIX Launcher build.

LATEST BETA PATCH v95054 + BattleEye Update
sickboy replied to djseanit's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Glad to hear! Will be adjusting the Options screen for SLv2 to be more clear - showing auto detected paths, and explain what the ModPath means. -
LATEST BETA PATCH v95054 + BattleEye Update
sickboy replied to djseanit's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Yep as explained there's an .rsync subfolder inside the modfolder, not the addons folder, which contains packed files for repair and to be able to incrementally patch the files when an update occurs. You can simply ignore this folder, it is only for the software. You can also disable the updating of Beta Patches if you want to control it manually. The benefit of SU/SL in regards to distribution is incremental patching (saving tonnes of bandwidth for you, and for the mirrors) and saving manual hassle. Of course your preference is up to you :) But feedback and bug reports are valuable. -
Six Launcher - Easy Install/Update, Find/Join DayZ servers, worldwide network
sickboy replied to sickboy's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Normally the pings should apear within 30-60 seconds after startup. If they don't appear then, or only for some, then your system/network apology seems to be problematic to retrieve gamespy information, could be firewall/router/modem related. This will also be much improved in the imminent to be released SIX Launcher v2 ;-) -
why so many updates to beta version?
sickboy replied to Bludy's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Important improvements/fixes are available in the Betas that are useful to DayZ. But a new official Patch is currently imminent, hence the frequency of Beta patches is high. It's only temporary that the 1.60/1.61 version split exists and should be resolved soon. In your case, i'd update to the latest beta. -
LATEST BETA PATCH v95054 + BattleEye Update
sickboy replied to djseanit's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Hows that? The file/directory structure should be exactly the same as if you manually installed it. The only difference is a .rsync subfolder inside each modfolder, containing repo information and packed files for repair and patching. -
LATEST BETA PATCH v95054 + BattleEye Update
sickboy replied to djseanit's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Please make the Mod Path blank, it's to be used if you want to install mods outside of the game directly, and thus definitely shouldn't be pointed to a modfolder like @DayZ. Also the OA and standard game paths can be left blank as we auto-detect them, but that shouldn't matter as long as you configured them properly. Start-In folder is irrelevant when using SIX Launcher to start the game, its taken care of already. -
Waiting for host could be server related, e.g server version. Also some people said it was fixed after deleting the @DayZ modfolder and letting it reinstall, though IMO that's a coincidence.

You where kicked off the game. (battleye: Bad player name) What to do?
sickboy replied to Archert2's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
A fix for this issue is said to be available in the next Beta patch, hopefully available later today. -

LATEST BETA PATCH v95054 + BattleEye Update
sickboy replied to djseanit's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Then I suspect something's wrong with the launch - are you using a shortcut? perhaps the "start in" working folder is set to the beta instead of the game folder.Any luck when using SIX Launcher? -
95054 in fact sixupdater deploy 95057 most of servers are named wrong
sickboy replied to byteslam (DayZ)'s topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
The exe files in each Beta have different version numbers for the Server and the Client. The client is 95054, the server is 95057. It is the same on SIX Updater as it is on the official installer, so nothing to do with SU. -
