Why not? Increased heat output, increased voltage, meaning shorter lifespan for the CPU, possibility of outright death of the components (mobo and CPU). Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for overclocking, but as I don't know how good OP is with computers and how good cooling he has, I'm not going to recommend something that is meant for enthusiasts.

There is no reason to OC tbh. You arent gonna notice the FPS difference. Once more, regards 4770K OC'd to 4.2 GHz. I'm a bit contradicting, huh?
-
In that case, go for it.
-
It's still not gonna fit in his budget.

NO. Don't get Haswell for gaming. Its so overkill. Get an AMD CPU, and a cheap AMD motherboard. I'd suggest the Vishera 6300 for a gaming CPU. Regards, owner of 4770K and a GTX780 -_-

If shift doesnt work as a walk/run toggle, try pressing the right mouse button. This only does the trick when unarmed though.

Well, I guess I'll get to re-read A Princess of Mars :D

Will character movement animations be off sync also later on?

Yeah, you're right about people not noticing it. At least I have no idea what the heck you're talking about. -
Feels like a backyard mod made with insufficient tools.

Technically "alpha" is not a word, but a greek letter. -
Not sure if R has said anything, but it's pretty obvious that there will be more eventually.

I think that's a bit of a waste lol

This kind of behavior has been fixed in Arma 3, but not in DayZ it seems. As mentioned above, it's due to Arma 2 being a military simulator, and a military simulation doesnt really have to worry about this kind of things.

Might try it out if you lived in Europe :S

The door is that way -> -
You should probably default the stuff in the control panel.
-
Yah I think most of the problems are caused by the CPU and the RAM, possibly the graphics card too so yah... ramp down the settings.
-
Was a bit busy and only had time to check this stuff now. Hmh, Im not that familiar with your CPU, but it appears to be 5 years old, and your other hardware doesnt seem to be all that new either. At this point, it's pretty much that either you cope with the low FPS (which I did for a long time on my 4650... I know the pain) or a near total system upgrade. If you are considering an upgrade, I have time to discuss such things as these. If you are not considering one, good luck, but I'm just gonna say, the setting tweaks arent going to do shit.

If using windows, go to start menu -> search -> 'dxdiag' This is the DirectX diagnostics tool that will give you info on your system. Taking a screenshot of the 'system' and 'display' tabs should suffice.

I have nothing against going towards realism but this is ridiculous.
-
Would you make actual points instead of just saying "bullshit" and "if 30 secs yadada". Your suggestion isnt talking about 30 seconds, but possibly tens of minutes to even hours to find medicine.

Yea, if I was sick in real life, but some people just have to undestand, DAYZ IS NOT COMPARABLE TO REAL LIFE, and never will. DayZ is entertainment. Also that is absolute bullshit.

Thoughtful? Sure. Think about this: I get infected at 4AM, decide that I am very tired, log out and go to bed. I log in the next day, after work and such, and notice that my blood level is at 6000. I wouldn't be too happy. Edit: Dat ninja-Clumzy.

Still no though.

That's a lot better, might try to apply at some point just out of boredom.
