Only -maxmem=2047

-maxMem=2047 fixed both my friends(win 8, i5-4670k,8gb,7790) and my crashing issue (win 7, i5-3570k,8gb,7870.) It does seem to stutter for a second every 10-20 min, but at least we can play. Thanks.

Already sent a bug report but I was curious to know if anyone else has this issue. My friend constantly gets the "receiving" screen after a few minutes of play. Sometimes he can get back into the game, other times he has to close completely. He uses no startup parameters. The only remedy we've discovered is verifying the integrity of the game cache. This seems to fix it temporarily, but it always comes back. He has a pretty decent setup (i5-4670k, 8gb, 7790) so we are unsure what is causing it. We considered a hardware issue but this only started happening when .54 was installed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Derick

Yeah, I've been trying to convince him to spend his money on a good cpu, mobo, and psu, save money and build the the computer slowly instead of just blowing his budget on low end products. I'll link him this thread. Thanks for the replies and anymore input would be greatly appreciated. -Derick

Hello Fellow Dayz Players, First off here is my rig: i5-3570k @ stock z77 pro4 mobo 8 GB DDR3 @ 1600 2 GB 7870 DDR5 Corsair 700w PSU 2 x 500 GB HDD 1@ 5400, 1@7200 1 x 1.5 TB 7200 (SataIII) So my idea is to add a 60GB SSD for the OS and scrap the 5400 RPM drive (don't really use it anyway) and 8 more GB of RAM. Should I get new cooling for the 3570k and overclock, because I already get great FPS as it is now while recording. Or, should I just take advantage of the Hyper-threading tech the i7's offer? If so should I go with the 2700k, 3770k, or 4770k? The price and performance difference between the new and old tech just doesn't seem worth it to go with the newer tech. Plus I've heard the Sandy Bridge CPU's OC much better if I ever want to do that. Thoughts? Thanks, Derick

Yep, just a little bit :P . Really though, I'm hoping to find someone who went through a similar experience or someone with better hardware knowledge than I to share their experience or expertise. But I've gotten my answer. Now off to read guides on how to overclock properly. :thumbsup:

Stock at the moment. My case has a mount for liquid cooling, but I was thinking of just going with air because I really don't want to have to maintain the liquid stuff (really don't even know how to.)

Well, I neglected to say that is does take a bit to render vids with the 3570k. Would overclocking vs buying the i7 really be heaps better?

You will not get an enjoyable FPS on either of those Macs no matter what settings you play on. Just a shot in the dark but 5-15 FPS at best. -Derick

Hey fellow Dayz players, I was wondering if someone could help me figure out what happened to me about 30 min ago on BMRF #3. My game crashed and when I came back my player was still there with all my stuff. Initially I thought maybe I had duped but then my character started moving. I'm seriously confused and a bit freaked out lol. Did AI take over my character? Is it a player? Huge glitch? Well I didn't expect to find anything except maybe the ghillie suit again. I thought my character data didn't save. So when I ran back I thought maybe the ghillie suit would still there. It sucks you guys are so skeptical, but I understand why. I'm not pulling any "shenanigans," I just want to know wtf happened.

The vibration feature is useless to me but the 5.1/virtual 7.1 is amazing because of the ability to pinpoint where any sound is coming from. It seems a minority of people have issues with the mic but I haven't experienced this in over a month of use. This headset is a steal in my opinion. Hope this helps -Derick
