This thread is for people stupid enough to download something they shouldn't have and have had their CD key stolen as a result. For a non battleeye server, that means someone will have to PAY for it. Why wouldnt they just get another copy of the game?

Yeah I saw someone fixed this problem by re-installing an older version of battle eye then joining a game and battle eye updated its self and that fixed it. Try that maybe if you havent all ready :)

Ohhh right, so they won't shoot at all and will just lay there? I assumed it just meant they'd go prone, but would still 'play' i.e be controlled by AI and shoot etc. Can anyone confirm that they'll just lay there? Will they not move at all?

Do you know if difficulty level of the server will affect bots performance at all? Also off topic, but you can't post in that thread; That food icon needs re-doing IMO the rest look great, but that one does not.

What are your specs? How much RAM do you have? If you have a good CPU, but low RAM, then its probably that. If you have an old slow CPU, but 8gb of RAM its probably CPU.

You need to update your beta version, I think. Easiest way to do it, is get DayZ Commander, you will see "Install/update" click that and install the latest beta (Its just labelled as "ArmA 2"). Pretty sure that should work :) If not let us know.

Hmmmm I know there is a problem sometimes where it stops you from aiming and shooting if you press the right mouse fast. I cant explain it for the life of me, but it sounds like this. If you tap your right mouse button and that fixes it (not permanently), then its the same thing. If its not, then i have no idea what it is, sorry :(

Fair play. Nothing wrong with being a bandit IMO, 'cept if you're one of those who go in chat and say "can someone help me I need blood" then befriend some guy just to shoot him in the back, that's lame as hell, but good old fashioned huntin' is always fun :D Sadly I'm terrible at it, soon as i come against a player I get the adrenaline shakes and suddenly become terrible at the game >.< hehe

A lot of servers only have 1 or 2 choppers so its the rarest thing in the game really. Ive never found one myself, been playing for months now. Though I dont go out and hunt for it, still Ive never come across one, only got lifts from peeps who already had one, so it is rare lets be honest.

Every time I try to connect to a server Im getting this error (I know in this pick the install is yellow and it needs updating, I downgraded to see if it would work, but it doesnt work with the newest beta or the older one): Started after the latest Commander update. Anyone else having issues? Anyone know a fix? Thanks in advance :)

Yeah RAM disk can be quite lethal. Imma have to try it myself tbh, I dont really have FPS issues, but just to try it seeing as I have RAM to spare.

lol Its not impossible at all. Google are doing 1GBps download speeds as you call it (the one that your ISP advertises not what you actually download at) Bristol here in the UK is the first to get 1GBps here, and I know that the actual speed that you get downloading stuff is higher than 70mbps, so yeah certainly not impossible. And like Amber said your speed has nothing to do with it, wouldnt matter if you had 1mbps, it would just be slower.

I believe the kick you due to the fact that your high ping effects the whole server's performance, rather than they kick you so that you wont lag yourself, right?

Aye the problem is still there even after a full re-install (I deleted all the files first too). :( Shame as i do really like the program, maybe the next update will solve this problem for me, till then Im using ArmA 2 Launcher & PW6

For anyone wanting to know (kinda, Im guessing) what the bots may be like load up arma 2 and play a bit against the AI. The question is if the server is on Regular will the bots be easy and if the server is on expert will the bots be a lot harder like in ArmA 2? Would kinda suck as the combat loggers would probs play on expert so their bot would be better :D Personally I dont think bots will be much of a threat, I reckon it will at least take a few seconds for it to transfer over from the player to the bot and once its a bot unless you dont see it and it sees you, they're probably gunna be easy as pie like in ArmA 2. In ArmA 2 the AI does this thing where it takes forever for them to turn around while aiming their gun, so you can just sort of keep walking to their right or left and the literally cant get an aim on you <.< However there are also AI mods you can get that make the AI better, maybe something like that will get implemented.

Aye a nice simple idea. Boltcutters are already part of an addon in ArmA 2 so wouldnt be too hard to add them i dont suppose.

I cant see it happening tbh. ArmA 2 and 3 arent/wont be available for Mac, the sales compared to PC sales will be tiny, they'd probably be more interested in consoles, thts where the big money is. And a LOT of Mac users arent really gamers (im talking like AAA games not Angry Birds and shit :D), like i said its a pretty small market IMO and maybe more work than its worth. But yeah I dont see this happening, I dont think it would effect the success of the game either way. Besides thats what bootcamp is for :D

Im 26, and most of the people I meet are definitely around the 18-30 range, I dont see/hear that many kids tbh. Which for me at least makes a nice change (I used to play wow, many many kids there). Nothing against kids in general ofc. some of them are cool and mature, but a lot of them not for obvious (and understandable i suppose, i was a kid once and i was probably annoying and immature :D) reasons.

Try manually then, then the servers are out of the picture and if it still dont work it IS something at your end thats wrong. At least you will know.

All thats happened is the band wagon jumpers who will play anything thats popular to get views have stopped playing as much. The people who actually like the game for the game itself are still playing it. Plenty of them, and Im sure the band wagon jumpers will be back on when the SA comes out and everyone is playing it/talking about it. And also the people who think SA is going to be sooo much different and better than the mod as it is now have stopped playing and are waiting for SA. Personally I think these people are going to be disappointed to find its very similar and the experience will be pretty much the same just smoother and more polished with less hackers. If the game isnt fun enough now for you to put up with a bit of frustration, the SA isnt going to be either for you IMO

Ahh my bad i missed that. But have you actually done what Orlok suggested to do and test your memory seeing as its a memory issue? (or seems to be) Another suggestion: Defrag your HDD
