Yeah there are a number of options. DayZ Commander http://www.dayzcommander.com/ and Play With Six http://play.withsix.com/ are the two big ones that most people use. There is also ArmA 2 Launcher http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8241 - this is a really great and easy to use program that's great if you need to use other mods like JSRS or Rmod or whatever. With this one you install the mods manually then just tick which mods you want to start the game with. The other two install stuff automatically which is easier, but less control/options. And yeah man single player is awesome, seems like not that many DayZ players play it, theyre missing out. You have to turn off DayZ mod to play single player. However you turn your addons on i.e if you use the launch parameters or ArmA 2 addon launcher or whatever, you will need to remove DayZ and load up the game with out the mod to play single player.

This is being made for ArmA 2: Looking pretty sweet, no idea if it will play well or whatever, if its like two people in DayZ with hatchets, I cant see it being very good :D The sword play has to be solid for a game like this IMO and melee in the game currently is pretty turd.

I had this problem a while back, dunno if it was the same thing, but I was getting this error after upgrading beta. I had to install the older one (I then played on a couple of servers with the old one, dunno if this was needed) and then re-install the newer one. This was using DayZ Commander so it was very easy just had to choose the older one from the dropdown menu and click install, dunno how you would do that with just Steam. Like I said, I dunno if this will work for you or if its the same problem or whatever, but I know that worked for me. Failing that have you tried validating your ArmA 2 install on Steam, that usually sorts a few things out with missing files or whatever you may have.

Wow I didn't realize WarZ had this, every time i hear something new about that game, it's ALWAYS something bad....really bad. And that is exactly what will happen, you're totally right. Multiple chars is a bad idea IMO, it's just not in the 'spirit' of DayZ.

How much did you pay for it? Would be interesting to see and then compare that price with what its "really" worth. See just how much the Alienware name costs.

I would say considering a lot of good graphics cards have issues with low FPS in cities that an APU just wouldnt be able to handle it very well. But would be interesting to see for sure. Anyone here play DayZ with an APU?

Yeah I agree a UK map would be cool, but would take a LOT of work to model all the buildings etc. Most of the maps for ArmA 2 use the same buildings, trees, textures etc. There are too many maps that are 'russian like' IMO they're a bit 'samey'. I understand why this is ofc, as like I said they can just use the buildings already made which are the russian type ones (or the desert Takistan style). A lot of people who make the maps dont make their own buildings. Would be cool, if more people would make buildings.

Although there is no animation, the sound mod JSRS (which some DayZ servers allow) has the satisfying sound of it. It also gives you an audio cue as to when you can fire again, rather than having to look in the top right for the text to go green.

Like most others have said, I wouldnt mind at all if it got delayed to make sure it was right for release. Hopefully Rocket will see this thread and realize most people are cool with that and totally understand (if he thinks otherwise i mean, maybe he will put less pressure on himself :))

Still....Its one of my favourite looking and sounding guns in the game! :D But if it were to be changed to make it realistic, what would have to be changed? Are you saying it should be 10 gauge (and that means less powerful, right?) and only 5 rounds? I think I would prefer it to be slightly unrealistic rather than making it much worse tbh.

Yeah I agree about the torch. Maybe they should make it like one of those you strap to your head. This is already programmed into ArmA 2 on some custom campaigns so wouldnt be hard to add. That way you can use your gun etc at the same time and it also wouldn't move around everywhere like it does now (except infront of you where you actually want it) and would point forward as your run.

CO IS Arma 2 AND Arma 2 OA. So if you just have CO you DO have Arma 2

If you want advice on parts for your new gaming pc (good move, laptops will never be as good, but they will always be more expensive) these are the parts to get in terms of bang for your buck IMO: Intel i5 3570K (not 3770K, which is i7 >.<) (I say Intel because AMD has some issues with DayZ, Intel CPU's handle it better) Z77 Motherboard. 8GB RAM (I would go with Corsair Vengeance personally) Either nVidia GTX 660 ti or AMD 7850 Either a 72,000RPM good HDD or an SSD. Case is more a personal thing whether you like the looks or want it to be quiet etc. But Coolermaster and Corsair and others make good ones. A good 80 Plus (Bronze, Silver or Gold would be even better) 650W + Power supply (dont cheap out on this and get the cheapest one you can find)
