One time I met a "friendly" who was very curious as to what I was carrying. I tried to walk towards him but hit E instead, causing me to lean, just as he fired right past my head. I ran past him to a building, and after a standoff, eventually killed him.

I'd like to be aware of what guns/gear are scripted into the game, so I can destroy them when I come across them. Already got rid of a Silenced PMZ.

If it's a gun that's legitimately in DayZ, then I will probably just keep it, as it makes no difference ultimately.

4. A "Private Hive" is a separate database so your items won't carry over, you can consider this an "alternate account". Thesse accounts are not linked. 5. Assuming you "Save" the vehicles from the action menu, the vehicles will be in that spot on that server. If you join another server, vehicles won't follow. Also note that someone could find the vehicles and take them whilst you are logged out. 6. You can store things in your backpack, which you carry around with you, and you can also store them in the boot of vehicles and camping tents, and assuming you "save" them your items should remain there on that server. This, although not just because of hackers, but backstabbing, bugs, anything. It's always best to remember that any sort of gear in this game is reobtainable and worthless in value. It'll save you a lot of anger when you think you've lost like the only M249 SAW in the game.

Well, I have been playing on servers all day with no issue. I'm just stuck at "loading" for whatever reason, happened twice now. EDIT: Disregard this, I'm in. EDIT 2.0: Now I am getting kicked out for no reason. ._.

Having a few issues actually getting into the game so don't expect me to make an appearance, but I'll see if I can.

Sadly I don't use Teamspeak and my Microphone sucks eggs (It's an internal, dogs ate my proper one >:l), so I'll probably use direct chat. I'll try to be careful, but besides the medical stuff I got from Elektro, I have nothing to lose really. I'll be sure to come up with my weapon lowered.

Sounds neat. Do you guys need an extra hand? I don't mind running up to lend some help in the medical area, I've got a few supplies.

Hi, to answer your questions: 1. There are mutliple servers. The bigger servers are the most interesting however you are more likely to run into hackers or connection issues there. The smaller servers are more likely to be quiet and hardly any hackers, but it's not nearly as active or thrilling. 2. You start off as a survivor. Killing other players will decrease your Humanity until you eventually become a bandit. Giving players items and healing their wounds will increase it until you become a Hero. 3. The first day or two you play, expect to die alot. Spend this time learning what the places look like, a place you can always recognise if you need to meet up with your friend, and what buildings you can enter, as these will help you escape zombies. If you want, I can come and meet up with you and your friend and help you find some stuff, and show you how to sustain yourself and your friend without relying on looting or killing, just hit me up with a PM.

So, I'm interested in trying this out. Any of the white-listed medics got any suggestions, like how much of which I should be carrying? I've got a little bit of everything minus Antibiotics right now.

Price tag would imply that I'm sacrificing something ;D The way I see it, if you manage to heal another person because of my help I benefit regardless. Also, your videos inspired me to do this myself, so if we ever bump into each other we can probably go to the main coastal cities :3

You see, when you make a reply without reading the entire thread, you look silly. I already said that I'm not expecting him to just tut and be on his merry way. I'm saying getting so pissed at it you actually take the time to make a thread about it is stupid, especially since there's ultimately no major difference in being killed by a hacker and being killed by a sniper, minus the fact you'll probably want to hop server, you simply die, respawn, and just loot again. Also, please never try to make analogies again. Can't believe I'm going to explain this, but meh. For a start, a hacker in a game is an entirely plausable situation, especially in a mod which means they have a limited ability to prevent them. Assuming by console you mean a gaming console and not an in-game console, How many Homing Console-gamer-hating flying trees have you heard of? Let's assume this does happen and you're not on all of the drugs. DayZ gear, besides the time you spend getting it, is worthless. I don't care how much you like it, you WILL NOT have it forever, and it cost you nothing to get. You might not have even spent any time getting it, you might have found a body and looted it. It would alone cost you more to get a new pair of underwear because you shat yourself due to a tree flying through your roof, nevermind a new television, roof and floor repair, new console, getting the goodamn tree out of your house... Now, as much as I literally would look forward to a debate on flying homing tree attacks, we shouldn't do that here. Please PM me if you want to talk about that. :L

Personally, when I get that frustrated with the game, I tend to just log off and play some Team Fortress 2 or something else.
