Standalone is the new DayZ release, that will not require ARMA 2. No details are known about it at this point.

I see no reason why you would doubt that, as there's nothing to prove otherwise, nor is there any benefit to being a girl gamer. If you still live by the idea that there are no girls on the internet, I am very disappointed. -

Well then I'm being told two different things... If you really can't move at all when firing from the hip I believe you should be able to.

You must record your vendetta for the world to see. And thus why a camera crew would be a good idea to take next time.

Oh. Well, default moving speed is "running", and you can shoot doing that. You aren't able to aim correctly and you're wildly inaccurate, but you're more mobile. So, it is Run and Gun. Sprinting (Default double tapping w) is an entirely different matter. You're exerting all of your energy and focus into moving fast. Trying to keep hold of a gun and firing it whilst doing that would be highly impractical.

On my current laptop, I can play DayZ on pretty much the lowest settings, and I'm quite alright with that. I'm curious which part of my Laptop I would have to upgrade to get an overall better performance in not just DayZ, but most other games also. I tried Gamebooster, However I didn't really get that much of an improvement. To be honest, it felt choppier. Do you have any suggestions on programs like that I should try I haven't heard of? -

That may be a problem, as I am an amateur video maker/LPer, so I would be doing that often. However, I've had no issues editing/rendering videos on my current setup. -

I know that I won't have much luck with upgrading a laptop, It's just I am more of a software kinda person, so I don't know much about Hardware. I will make sure to be on the lookout for a CPU and Graphics card when I get a desktop. Do you have any recommendations of what I should be aiming for in terms of specifics? It's a HP Pavillion G6, however I just wanted suggestions for whenever I get a Desktop. -

See, now that's why you even got into that mess in the first place. It's common knowledge to keep at least a small emergency film crew with you at all time. You had it coming, really. Nice to hear you made it out, though.

Whilst there is no direct fix for OP's issue as far as I'm aware, this can be used as a workaround. Simply Alt+Enter before loading a map, and leave the window open behind your other processes, then Alt+Enter again once ingame. -
There are creatures roaming the wilderness that will sacrifice any notion of entertainment, as long as they bring someone else down with them.

The grass is always greener on the other side. People fed up with Chenarus wanted a change, Namalsk provides such a change. Eventually, They will probably get fed up of Namalsk and long for the familiarity and simplicity of Chenarus. -
