But it's not a suggestion, it's a fact. Your items can be found on the coast if you're lucky, you could lose them literally seconds later to a random zombie you did not see. If you begin to make honeymoon plans with your AS50, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. I value my life significantly more than my items. My life is something that I cannot simply swap out with another one when I'm done with it. The things I do in that life and the things I achieve are with me until I die and I have a new one.

It's also that train of thought that could easily promote random KOSing. It's easy to see DayZ like a rogue-like: You start off with nothing, roam around getting whatever random stuff appears with little to no correlation, until you can't get any further with it and die. Then you start over again. There's really no incentive to work towards any other sort of goal. If there were different end-game goals to accomplish, it would add a bit more value to some items that could perhaps be necessary (Scrap metal to fix a generator that allows you to enter an area for unique loot would be an example), This would also add the additional reason to form a group with other players that everyone is asking for, without prohibiting the lone-wolf or the bandits which everyone gets (rightfully) annoyed at.

And it is worthless. Literally every item in the game has no value. Here's why: 1. It's so easy to get. You could literally spawn in and find a corpse with that stuff on it. 2. It's so easy to lose. You can die from a door. Bam, 10 hours of work gone. 3. You're going to lose it anyway. Your items won't carry over to the standalone assuming you're getting it. I'm not saying there's no point in aiming for things, but when it comes to items, don't bother getting attached.

You're implying that it's obvious to do this as if it's on by default, which it isn't.

Your gear is literally worthless. That being said, you could easily have logged into a private hive on accident. Log in to the same server and look to see if your gear is back.

It is entirely possible you are logging into different Private hives, in which case your gear will not carry over. If you're using DayZCommander, just tick "Hide unofficial" and you will only see servers that the DayZ staff are hosting.

It would be like the Barbed wire all over again. If you logged in anywhere in a building, odds are you'd be stuck in there due to it.

Barricading a door doesn't stop someone logging in within the building. And personally I'm against any sort of hostage system. It's so easy to exploit it for greifing. It's bad enough people can just shoot your kneecaps off and walk off.

He's referring to a purchase package. Steam already has the one for you and a friend, which discounts the second one. He's saying that there was a game that had the option for 4 players, and as DayZ is a game that has a lot of teams, it would suit it. The only "advantage" this could possibly imply is that he could spend the money he saved on a better mouse or something similar and improve his gameplay.

I actually wear some of these. I know that when some people play a game where they choose their character's appearance, the want to try something they don't get to do, but I'm not like that. I like having a character that resembles me, because when I achieve a feat in the game, it feels like I did it, not my fictional character. I feel like I am meeting people in the virtual world. It feels more immerse for me. 2. The all-black is partly because it's my favorite color (It goes well with every color, and looks fine on its own), but also because it helps you blend in (Technically dark blue is the best, but black isn't bad). 3. I like to be able to carry a lot. The jacket, combats and the bag allow me to do this. 4. I like to keep myself to myself. These clothes are very concealing, so if I don't want someone to see me, they can't. Let me know what you would like to have in the standalone. It doesn't need to be a complete setup, and you don't really need pictures.

Which could be caused by downloading a DayZ map from the wrong place, or something that claims to optimize your graphic settings. Neither of those things are hacks and there are confirmed cases of these stealing CD keys.

No. The mod was free because it was a mod. You already paid for ARMA II. The Standalone is a game in itself. It's not related to ARMA II or any other game, so you'd be paying directly for DayZ.

As long as you have Operation arrowhead, yes. The textures will not be as good, but it should work nonetheless.

Do you know how often I hear this from hackers? I could fill this thread with quotes from Global banned people who say this. Secondly, I said hack/mod/addon. This could be ANYTHING DayZ or even ARMA related.
