    Well... FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

He's referring to this little typo:
  2. Essentially, I am tired of explaining to people that we can't remove their bans, and I'm sure the rest of the Community support team and forum moderator team are too. So I went ahead and e-mailed BattlEye this: ______________________________________________________________________ Hi there, I'm writing to you with a very simple suggestion, as the members of the DayZ Community Support staff have many, many posts and support tickets asking for help with global bans. We obviously cannot help them, as it lies on your end. However, there's no indication to this in the actual ban message, so they end up coming to us first, wasting both our time and theirs. My suggestion is simple: In addition to the current message (BattlEye: Global Ban: #123XYZ), you should include an address to find more information (BattlEye: Global Ban [#123XYZ] For more information, visit www.BattlEye.com/support). This cuts down the time it takes for a banned user to contact you, and it cuts down on tickets we can't deal with. Hopefully you find the time to read this amidst the dozens of e-mails you are probably getting about global bans. Thanks, Rage ______________________________________________________________________ What I'm wondering is if they'll ever read it, or even if they did implement it, if anyone would actually read THAT.
  3. There is a difference between being wrongfully banned and being banned for something besides directly hacking. For example, you could attempt to download a simple thing completely unrelated to hacking, or even DayZ in particular (A texture pack, FPS booster, whatever), and it steals your CD-Key. It gets replaced with a CD-key that was banned a long time ago for hacking. When you appeal to BattlEye about YOUR key getting banned, you're only giving them SOMEONE ELSE'S key. They check this key, and it was banned for clearly hacking. You are branded as a hacker simply because you were silly enough to download something dodgy. All in all, odds are most of the people who are banned have not done anything to warrant a ban (at least, not yet), however, every single CD-key that is banned is done so for hacking, clear as day.

    Steam Workshop for Standalone?

I will admit I didn't really read the quote (And would be the first for apologizing for such), however I still disagree with the notion that it would be unethical to include things the community has created, even if they were not paid, as long as credit was given. I mean, if they have a problem with the company using the game, simply do not upload it to the workshop. Just because they don't NEED it, doesn't mean they do not want or appreciate it. For starters, it doesn't matter how good a "paid artist" claims to be, the fact is that when it comes to art, one person's style will look better for different things, to different people. Allowing the community to contribute means that the content/art is confirmed to be favorable to the biggest group of players, and even if it doesn't go so well, no money was lost in designing it. That's also one thing I want to emphasize in this debate; at the end of the day, it doesn't cost anything to implement this, nor is it required to partake or even use it. There's still a lot of consideration and work put into it, so it won't affect the quality of the game. There are no downsides to workshop support. Also, there are plenty of support tickets from talented modellers, artists and musicians coming in, and I personally urge any others to go ahead and drop us a line, too. It's a nice change to see a good bit of voice acting or art in a ticket as opposed to "im globel band wat do pls??".

    Steam Workshop for Standalone?

Except the majority of the last few updates were community-driven. It's not any of those things at all. You give them a good idea for a mere hat, they spend their time making it a reality (time which they could be spending making their own ideas for all of the profit), the community gets a sweet new item and you get a little bit of the profit for just giving them a good thought. Where is the exploitation or poor ethics in that? If they made you create the item, then took full credit for it and you never saw a penny, that would be more like what you are claiming, but that simply isn't the case. And there are games practically built upon user content. Take Portal 2, for example. There would be literally nothing to do in that game once you did the story and co-op story. However, due to user content, there's hundreds of thousands of top-notch maps for you to get stuck on for 20 minutes before looking up a walkthrough. Hell, look at Garry's mod. Just one example, there's Trouble in Terrorist Town, Which literally strains your abilities in deception, and detection thereof. Your best friends could become your worst enemies, and having no idea who to trust, and going through them not trusting you, is an experience no other game has been able to portray. That is a user mod of a game that's a mod in itself. That's like user-content-ception.

    DayZ Standalone Closed Testing?

I don't know, because I've got quite an un-gnarly picture, and my love for Orlok is totally homosexual. Maybe it's because of our 1337 grammar skills.

    Heli problems! Please help quick!

Helicopters are notorious for being fidgety when it comes to repairs. I believe you'll get it eventually if you keep at it. It's like filling jerrycans; you just gotta find the right spot.

    Steam Workshop for Standalone?

    I want Steam Workshop Everything.

Arma 2 OA PROBLEM PLEASE HELP!!

Have you tried just moving your steam files back where they were before?

    Bad serial number in setup

You need to run both ARMA II and ARMA II Operation Arrowhead as an admin. Waiting until the main menu loads up will suffice and you can exit the game.
  11. Rage VG

    New Key?

I'm not sure. It's best to buy it on a new account to be safe. You can still play on your old account afterwards, I believe.
  12. Rage VG

    New Key?

It costs as much as Combined operations costs. You just buy it again and run it as administrator.
  13. Yep. Oh well, worth a shot.

I need help im a noob pls helllppppp

Either: A. Search small cities for the items you need. People don't stay around them often. B. Suck it up and go into Elektro C. Go onto a smaller server D. Get a medic to come and help you. If you NEED it, I could come and help you, we'd have to arrange a time and place though.
  15. Upon reading their FAQ, it appears they often get e-mailed about how to get a new CD-key. I should've mentioned they can return the favor and just direct those questions to us.
  16. Personally, my only gripe is that food and drink shouldn't immediately put you to full hunger/thirst. I've been able to drink a can of cola before and still be thirsty after.

    [OFFER] Hatchet

How about I'll trade for the ability to make a good joke? HAHA! HA HA HA! I kid. OP made me giggle.
  18. Rage VG

    Well... FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

I remember logging into a server with Monky's Monitor before. I immediately logged out and avoided that server like the plague, as I believe (but could be wrong) it was showing me where other players were on the map. I didn't stay around long enough to find out.
  19. Rage VG

    Well... FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Perhaps you were logged into a private hive the first time. I assume that if you were getting kicked you didn't get in on that server again.
  20. Rage VG

    Help

You need to go into your Steam Library and play both ARMA II and ARMA II: Operation Arrowhead at least once. You just have to load up to the main menu.

DayZ with more weapons, different loot tables, stronger zombies, and apparently, the ability to construct a base.
  22. Rage VG
