Proof you haven't been listening to anything I've said since my second post, since I said they're not "My ideas", they are facts that I am presenting to you to factor into your debates. It makes no difference to me what you call bandits; I'm a medic. I'm trying to contribute to your discussion nonetheless, and you're trying to disprove things that are concrete. Yes, they are talking about mechanics. You're trying to present an idea to a community that's here FOR THOSE MECHANICS. You expect them to agree on something that goes against that? However since really you have flat-out admitted you're just trying to offend people, (starting with the derogatory labels towards bandits, and since I am not a bandit, you are now trying to offend me on a personal level by calling me narrow-minded,) I honestly doubt anyone is going to take you seriously when you say you are not trolling. FYI, I'd take you calling me arrogant a bit more personally, but you've already said the same thing to 4-5 other people who've disagreed with you here, so I'm assuming it's your substitute for the typical "you're a fag".

You couldn't have just not left valuables in your backpack? I'm pretty sure if they were taking anything large from your bag, they'd have to clear space, which is plenty of time to log out.

But do you believe that players should stop doing that because it bothers you, or do you believe that you should simply counteract this change by being more cautious? The former is what makes you a "care-bear".

I am not presenting you with my argument, I am presenting only facts. These are things that you can not dispute and are not my opinion, and I will explain why: First fact: Any attempts to discourage a certain play-style is against the spirit of the game and would never be officially included. This is because the game is developed to not give you any indication of whether what you are doing is better or worse than what you could have done. The developers of the game have said they made the game with that aspect in mind and that is what makes the game what it is. Second fact: Your intention with this thread was to change the community's attitude towards banditry. As you have yourself stated: So this really only leaves two results: A. You are merely posting this to offend bandits, which is considered flamebaiting and thus there is no reason this thread should continue to exist, or B. You are trying to discourage a large part of the game, which as I have explained, is highly unlikely to interest anyone with an open mind (aka the majority of people) or make an impact at all. No, no you're not. Your title says it clear as day: "Discourage". There should be nothing in the game to discourage any moral choice whatsoever besides your morals. No argument you can make could justify otherwise. If you want to change the way something is perceived, do it yourself, with your actions. Don't just tell anyone to do it anyway because the lulz. And the term "care-bare" is used by everyone to describe someone who thinks the pvp aspect should be removed or toned down, when that's really the main part of the game. I don't partake in it but I enjoy its existence. This means I am not a care-bear. If someone wants people to not shoot each other and just get along, that is called being a care-bear. Again, this is community terminology and only you are able to decide what you call what. If you don't think it deserves a different name, don't give it one. Just don't tell others to do it. And if it's any consolidation, I don't think you're butthurt. You're just simply going about things the "Unjust" way.

No, I'm saying that changing the actual terminology would have negative effects on the game, as it essentially frowns upon one style of play. Why don't we go ahead and call survivor "Sissies" instead? It'd have just as much effect. Besides, trying to change the attitude of the community is not only futile, but goes against the nature of the game. Everyone is here because they get to choose everything they want. If you want to hate on bandits, you can be a bandit-hunting mofo and the game implores you to do that, and it in fact rewards you. If you live for the thrill of combat, you can arm yourself to the teeth and the game will welcome and (again) reward that choice each and every time. So to target a single group of players and say that we should slap a negative label on them not only alienates the (pretty big) group you are targeting, but you won't get much support from the open-minded survivors either.

No. Bandit is the term for someone who attacks other people for personal gain or satisfaction. A bandit could be loaded with gear and still attack others. A tramp is simply a beggar. To call them tramps is to imply they have few or no personal possessions. 2 Is simply a survivor instinct. 1 and 3 are malicious intent, and are associated with bandits.

You need to create another account, purchase both games again, then run them both as admin. You'll then have a new key, and will be able to play again. Since this thread will simply decay into flaming now, I ask that a mod locks this. The question has been answered, and there's no call for a morality debate here. The fact you are leaving your stuff on the floor is a big enough risk for the reward of having a place to rearm at. And making it easier makes it riskier; The closer your tent is to spawn, the faster you get armed up, but the more likely it is to be found and looted. 3. I both agree and disagree. Whilst they honestly are a joke and pose no immediate threat, the reason nobody kills them is because there's too much risk, for very little reward. You kill a zombie at the risk of every other zombie coming after you, at the risk of not getting bak anything to compensate for the loss of ammo, at the risk of another hostile player finding you, for the reward of the zombie maybe carrying a can of pepsi.

I am in favor of this. The more Whitelist servers, the better, to me.

Well, no. Not really, because that's actually a pretty selfish train of thought. You've got the exact same Laptop I have (HP Pavilion G6). It indeed does not come with a numpad. Simply go into the controls, and change 'Toggle view' (I think, correct me if I'm wrong) to whatever you want. I put mine to CTRL + @.

Nope. For a start, we can not unban you. Global bans are issued by BattlEye, not the DayZ team. We have no ability to lift your ban. Secondly, we would not unban you if we could. You are aware of the risks of hacking, and you accepted to be banned the moment you attempted to hack. You have lost the right to use your CD-key on ARMA servers. Two wrongs do not make a right. I don't try to stop racism by being a racist. The people who you saw hacking are going to suffer the same fate as you. Take it as a lesson. If you want to avoid hackers, go onto a whitelist or private hive. Feel free to try again by buying the game again and start anew, but don't waste our time. Your forum account will simply been banned if you do. This would be the part where this thread is buried, but I do not own a shovel.

Perhaps the server reset the character database, or possibly you logged whilst in combat, resulting in a glitch. Just some possibilities to consider.
