No. I just know quite a bit about the game, And I strive to help others. You don't need to eat the food you make to be a chef, you just gotta know how to make it.
-
Of only I could run the game.
-
But they have a valid point, whether you like it or not. Why does this make me laugh more than it should?
-
Whom tend to be either male or female.
-
Correct. And when "the vision" changes, as will the attitude towards suggestions that before didn't fit. But until then, obviously people are not going to agree with suggestions that go against what the game is going for. Unless you're suggesting we should seriously consider the ability to make our characters more horizontal than vertical on the off-chance that Rocket decides that he wants to tailor the game to inflation/midget fetishists in the distant future, I don't see why it matters what "the vision" can be, as opposed to what it is right now. Ah, so you're saying you posted this with the sole intention of annoying people, eh?
-
Alright, I'll play ball. If that was "the vision", then it would still be correct to use it as a reason for why an update wouldn't fit into the game. If that's not what he wants in his game, then it's not going to make it in. If someone had suggested more medical spawns, that's not going to make AppleJaxc get into Rocket's pants faster therefore not really where the game is headed. You can argue about what "the vision" is and what's reasonable or not all you want but it's irrelevant to the aforementioned fact, and only make you look like either a psycho, an idiot, or both. Your call.
-
That has literally nothing to do with anything. Reciting the intentions of the developer when referring to his game is nowhere near comparable to being a sock puppet to the guy.
-
I'll have you know Rocket and I are totally mates. totes. totes mcgoats. Srsly though, he's been quite transparent with where he's going with the game, and given that a lot of the suggestions are near enough cookie-cutters of each other, it simply becomes easier to justify it that way. How many times are we expected to explain the intricate details behind why there's no safe zones in the game before simply going "Rocket doesn't want the game to become like that"?
-
If that sort of behavior didn't typically stem from those people being genuine dickheads then yeah, I'd say it makes sense. Makes just as much sense for the lady in question to then turn around and shoot them in the back of the face, though. All's fair game.

True to their word, the LAN Party are cruisin' Chenarus.
-
He's trying to talk them out of it!

We should use this as a new form of cheating punishment. They can play, but shit themselves uncontrollably to the point that their body withers away and they die. Over and over.

Okay, I understand now. If you could remove the reference to the other thread then just so it doesn't look like just a reply to another thread then that'd be great.
-
Well, it's not exactly that (although it would be nice if you didn't randomly have a paragraph to call someone a "pussy bitch" if you aren't trying to offend anyone), it's just that if you had already said this in another thread, why it needs another thread unless you felt it needed deeper explanation, which would be fair enough.
-
And you created another thread with the same response, or an elaboration, or?
-
But if there was a thread on the problem which sparked you to respond, why not respond in that thread? o.O Not cool.
-
BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH OF THIS ALREADY No but really, did you just create a thread simply as a reply to another thread? Why not just reply to the thread? And how about showing some manners for the person you're replying to while you're at it?
-
That's fair enough. You did have a point that it's very unlikely that it will be overturned.
-
His question should still be directed at them. Asking us would be like asking your electrician why your ISP has cut you off.
-
Talk to Valve. They're the ones who banned you.

So I read that people don't like FrankieonPC the youtuber for DayZ

Sure, let's go over this again... He was accused of being a hacker and evidence was presented. I'm not going to go over every little detail, I'm just gonna give you my opinion. I believe he hacked. Evidence was overwhelming and his response to it didn't help any. Nothing will really convince me otherwise. I still enjoy his content. I do not watch his videos because he is good at the game. I watch his videos because I enjoy his commentary. His job is to entertain. He entertains me. He earns money. That is how it should work. If he wants to buy hacks and CD keys with that money, he's free to keep throwing his money at Bohemia 'cause he'll just be banned over and over. More than anything I'm tired of hearing about it. Simply because of three things: 1. People who go overboard, like "He should be treated like a real criminal and sent to jail for it" as if he's actually killing people or something. 2. People who feel the need to vehemently defend him. From a completely unbiased standpoint you can't say the evidence isn't compelling. I am a fan of him and I still think it made sense. It bothers me when people "protect" him like he's going to arrive on their doorstep with a bouquet of flowers and personally thank them for their valiant efforts. 3. The fact that it's brought up every time, and every time it is you get the two types of people listed above. Oh, and if anyone believes that if I enjoyed his videos (Even his Battlefield ones) that I actively support hacking, they're hypocrites. I'll just let this cool song explain it all. -
What happened to 10 -- 15buck$ alpha pricing?
Rage VG replied to archibald tutter's topic in General Discussion
I don't recall any official source confirming a $15 price. I remember everyone speculating how much it'd be (My guess was £15, which wasn't too far off) but as far as I'm aware there was never a confirmation of price until it was released. -
Except when it clearly states on the store page why and only why you should be paying for the alpha; to support the project. To be fair, I don't care what anyone thinks about if you should pay for an alpha, what you should expect, yada yada, If you've been straight up told "Look, this game is completely raw. If you do not like that, we do not want you to buy it." and you say "Yes. I am okay with this." then you really have no place to gripe about it being incomplete or the fact you had to pay for it as it is written clear as day and there are ample opportunities to see what you're getting before you're buying. Not only this, but It's not at all like DayZ is the only alpha that charges a price for this as it's how the "Early Access" program for Steam works. It's essentially a kickstarter without the option to pledge random amounts. Plenty of games have the standard alpha at a set price, then added rewards for larger purchases that act as pledges. There are plenty of games that do the exact same thing DayZ is doing, and DayZ is a highly anticipated title. Besides, I bet the only reason a public alpha was released at this point was because they were tired of hearing "I don't care what it is, just give us something" and now I bet they're tired of hearing "If it wasn't ready you shouldn't release it".

To be fair it's easy to understand how I could have taken that as a timer for a patch. Apart from that, I digress.
