I would love to know what this man-child's real forum username is, so I can be sure to remove any object with sharp corners from any threads he posts in. I mean, I understand disagreeing with OP but to go out of your way to do this just screams stupid. -
I believe it should give you the choice to update them for you.

No, they can have their own directories, you just need to tell PW6 where it is. Also yeah I would recommend DZC over PW6 for DayZ, but go with PW6 for any other mod.

Make sure that PW6 has the correct directory for your A2Free installation.

Right click on ArmA II in your steam library, go to properties, then Local files, then "Verify integrity of game cache". Do this for A2:OA also. Try again, let me know the results. -

Any BE-protected server. Possibly all servers, but I can't confirm. -

Yes, Global bans stop you playing ArmA II, which is a requirement for DayZ. -

Make sure both ArmA II and ArmA II: Operation Arrowhead are installed. Then run each game at least once, so that it loads up to the main menu. -

Right now I am half asleep and can only see out of one eye, so forgive me if I only skim through. I noticed you don't think it should be done on the ArmA engine, and I disagree. Not only is it capable of emulating all of the things required of it, but it's something very familiar and comfortable for us. I don't think a change would be worth it, but who knows. -

PW6 and DZC do not have specific servers. They both load up the same server list, assuming your files are up to date. I have personally had zero problems with DZC. But eh, personal preference I suppose. P.S: My username is above "Forbidden Fury" ;D -

Embed: Also, if you've tested all of the launchers, then I would have thought you would prefer DayZCommander, as it's better than Play WithSIX for DayZ. PW6 has support for a wide range of mods however, which DZC does not. -

Install ArmA II:Free, as it works as a placeholder for ArmA II, just with slightly less detailed textures. You MUST have either A2 or A2Free to play DayZ.
