    Unless your idea of "playing a game" is "tickling each others tonsils with your tongues", then I have no idea how that can be a "gay fest" at all. Although I pretty much guessed that was the real issue here. Like I said, nobody competent is interested in gender, and the only people you're going to attract, even without age, are perverts and trolls. Expect many burly men in blond wigs to arrive shortly.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but roughly 100% of competent people don't care about gender. FYI; telling us you're a 14 year old male with Skype and teamspeak and you're looking for a girl to play video games with other the internet is essentially just begging for paedophiles or perverts.

    I could sort of understand people getting annoyed, especially if they were under the impression that it was going to be improved, however in this situation it's been clearly stated that they would rather go for practicality than attractiveness. That's reasonable. Heck, just throw in the option to change the colour of the UI and font and I'm sold. Nothing is more appealing to me than red on black.

    To be fair, graphics have never meant much to me. If they're great, then great, but I'd rather a dull but practical UI to a fancy but confusing one. Of course, that's just my opinion. Whilst it's certainly not a positive that the UI won't be more detailed, I don't feel that it's entirely negative.

    Well of course, I don't expect a vest to carry as much as a jacket. Same goes for something like a drawstring bag and a hiker's pack.

    I believe that is how it's gonna work. In the PAX devblog you saw that an AK took up more blocks than, say, a pistol mag. Something really cool would be like a diablo-style inventory where items actually have shape within the inventory, so you can slot things in wherever they fit, as opposed to an item just taking up a predefined number of slots.

    I'm too hoping that the medical system is far more extensive. The medics in the community must be bored with "Broken legs, Morphine, done. Bleeding, bandages, done." I'm liking what I'm seeing so far.

    Presumably, since DayZ already allows you to change UI size. I hope they allow for changing specific parts though, as you said.

    The mod will continue to receive community updates. The Standalone should be more secure than then mod, plus hackers aren't much of a problem in Private Hives.

    Global bans are issued by BattlEye to CD-keys that are caught hacking. We have no control over Global Bans. you will have to speak to BattlEye.

    If you have the requirements to play DayZ, it will always be available. The mod and the standalone will be separate, so you will have to pay for the Standalone, but you can still continue to play and enjoy the mod if you wish.

    In order: 1. If you don't care for ArmA, then wait for Standalone. If you'd like a great free milsim, pick up A2:CO and get DayZMod as a free bonus. 2. There have been 60-man servers, but the norm is around 40. 3. All servers for DayZmod are hosted by players. 4. The standalone will probably be hosted by players also, no word on this. 5. There's no set release date. 6. Your gear should carry across all servers. 7. Yes, yes and yes.

    I'm not sure what you mean. DayZMod requires ArmA II (Or ArmA II: Free) and ArmA II: Operation Arrowhead. DayZGame won't require anything, but you have to pay for it. If you want to play DayZMod, just go on Steam and buy "ArmA II: Combined Operations" which includes the two games listed above. Install them both, and run them both once. Then, get DayZCommander, and use that to install DayZ and whatever maps you want for DayZ.

    Steam is the easiest way to do it. All Launchers assume you use Steam. If you're willing to do a bit of configuring you could of course purchase it for any official retailer and it would work the same. Tell you what; if you ever have a problem or question regarding how to use Steam, feel free to shoot me a message. I can also help you get up and running with DayZ if you need help with that too.
