I'd prefer if the medicine stayed the same. I'm hoping there would be such a variety of ailments that just remembering them all is a feat, let alone the cures. Looking them up would be fine; you're sort of spoiling it for yourself but that's your choice. Same with loot maps.

Okay, the best way to keep up to date is with DayZCommander. Go get it. Use it to update everything, and use it to connect to servers. You should be set.

I'm pretty sure the game wasn't meant for you to end yourself to get a good spawn. I would totally be for a respawn timer.

Considering it will most likely be ported to consoles also, it should have a better controller setup. ArmA is just not made for gamepads, is all. -
First, as everyone has said, make sure to grab DayZCommander. That will allow you to install and update DayZ easily. As for server, find a private hive. Such as Balota Buddies, that's probably the most popular choice.

BB has a mix of Heroes, good Samaritans, but also its share of hardened bandits and simply paranoid survivors. All forms of play are supported and encouraged, that's why it's such a successful hive.

If you had read what I had said, you would know that I'm well aware of what you said, I'm just posting my opinion on it.

I have already suggested an official one to Matt but he felt that people would abuse it when moderators were not online. If people really want this unofficially, though, I could totally go make a Xat chatroom for peeps. I'd have to put it on protected mode whenever there are no mods, though. Which means anyone who is not classed as a "member" (which would probably be given to people above a certain post count, as this would prove they can post consistently within the rules) cannot talk. Any Administrator can turn this off whilst they are there so everyone can talk. On that note, what ever happened to the Steam group chatroom?

What I'm "babbling" about is that DayZ is not designed to be a single-player experience. You know people are allowed to express their opinions here, right?

Use DayZCommander. You can either hide all servers not running your version, or change your version to match other servers.
