Yeah, it is "their" (quotations because it's arguable if they truly own it) mod and community, they can make it or break it however they like. It's really just crippling themselves, though, since there are plenty of competing mods to convert to. And there is NO such thing as a Flawless anti-hack. The most accurate and reliable form of detection you'll ever get is your own eyes and ears, and even then you can get it wrong.

This is why they aren't giving out estimates; the last time they did, everyone went around shouting their heads off "OH MY GOD IT'S GOING TO BE HERE AT THIS TIME FOR SURE" and when they decided they wanted to rework the project, everyone yelled about how they promised it'd be out when it was just an estimate and no promise was made. I'm assuming that this "failed release" is also that december release estimate, and it just proves my point that people will take any hint and solidify it into fact and then get incredibly pissy if it's not met. I'm pretty sure they don't want to give a release date specifically because people will hurl shit if something should mess up.

We have plenty of input from behind the scenes to ensure that there ARE things at work and to assure us that it will eventually be ready, even if it is getting to be a rather tedious wait.

If admins like that are receiving donations, imagine what an admin who isn't like that would get? You should consider trying for an admin spot on a server. If you're looking for server suggestions, the only two I can recommend personally are the BalotaBuddies and MustyGaming ones.

The logical approach would be to disprove these lies, given you are the admin of the server and you have access to chat logs and will have plenty of witnesses to testify, as opposed to what you are doing now which is screaming "OMG STOP OR I SUE U" and overstepping your authority by attempting to dictate who does and doesn't have any involvement with it. If it is displayed on our forums, we have every right to involve ourselves. Unless you're prepared to face this sort of thing in the correct manner (I.E; not what you're doing right now by screaming at everyone about your 'lawyers'), then I have no idea what you're doing with admin powers. For example, ignoring the fact that his supposed behavior should've been addressed isolated from the other incident, had you instead came on here and posted about how this is inaccurate information, we might've been inclined to perhaps take your side, but you're too eager to remind us that we have no involvement, so I don't see why you're expecting me to act professional, when instead I'll just follow suit.

Not only does he retain the rights to record and display his gameplay whether it contains you or not, but you are not even targeted in particular in the video, your server is. Unless you are claiming to BE your server, he isn't "harassing" anyone. As I posted on the video, it would arguably be criticism, which is not against YouTube's terms of policy, nor does it contain anything strictly hateful, nor invokes anybody to do so, either. However, I'd like to know if your server's a private or public hive. If it's a public, You and I will need to have a little chat over what constitutes a ban, friendo, because I don't think you got the memo. Also, his video has neither product placement nor advertisements, so the music at the beginning can easily fall under Fair use.

This is a better "KoS" post than most of other ones, simply because you're looking to encourage co-operation, not discourage solo play.

But what you would say and what someone else would say are different. If they want to choose the easy way, that's their prerogative. You cannot dictate how people play this game and what they find enjoyable. You might find the looting fun (The "early game"), whereas I might find it boring, and prefer the nights hunting in the forests (The "mid game"), and someone else might just want to get straight to NWAF for some gunfight (The "end game"). Some might want full immersion from the game, others might just want to hang around with some friends and shoot zombies. You can't tell them to play a different game, they have just as much right to play and have paid just as much as you have. When it comes to people knowing all of the latest tricks, as far as you're concerned, SOMEONE has to have known about it for there to to a tutorial in the first place, so it could be the guy you're facing for all you know. Also, tutorials and guides are far, far different from exploits and glitches.

My insomnia is not caused by the site. I get 3 or 4 hours sleep regularly, whether I'm here or not. And that still doesn't change the fact there are like 6 or 7 other admins who are online when I'm not, and do a better job than I do.

You just did a 180 on my post. I said that the context in which those words "Kill Yourself" were used was the only context in which it was funny. In case you missed it, the context was that G00gle was looking for someone to fight and possibly kill him in-game, so Inception proposed he fought and killed himself, in-game. There's really no true malice to that, and thus there was no morality to outweigh the humor.

There's always an admin online. My computer is right next to my bed, and I'm a hermit AND an insomniac. So I usually get to sink like 16+ hours into the computer a day and I always have the DayZ forums open in one tab. If it says I'm offline at the bottom, it just means I haven't refreshed my page in the last 15 minutes, or if I'm actually not there, there's almost certainly another staff member online.
