  1. For the record, I am a member of the Vault-Tec Citizens clan whose server is in question, if you can call it a clan. A more fitting description would be a dozen goof-balls who've played games together for years, many with a strange preoccupation with the Fallout franchise, beginning with the first release in 1997 (we're old). In any case, DayZ is the game me and many of my friends have been waiting for-- vast, unforgiving, hyper-realistic, and gritty. Being a fan of Fallout, we're attracted to scrappy, bleak games where you've only got a few rounds for a rusted out revolver you're saving to murder the guy in a ski-mask you've been tracking for hours because you're pretty sure he's got a can of Chef Boyardee. Hell, I'd love to see this game get even more frustratingly realistic: misfires, poor quality ammo, limited matches, searching for batteries, etc. Which, finally, brings me to my point, hacking ruins the precise game expereince that we like. We are gluttons for punishment and enjoy the flavorful immersion that only a game that really hates you can offer. Spawning stuff for yourself, although temping sometimes I'll admit, just takes the fun out of it. Our admin and I both agree on this point. So, boo on hacking and that's all I'll say. Thanks
