at best all you can say is that a Zombie "probably" wont see you, you're completely miss guided if you think because either of those indicators are at zero you are safe, word to the wise.. you're not. gotta watch for those Z's aggroing in the distance as well, be alert, always ready to sprint..

I died last night (boo hoo) on respawn I decided to mess about in Elektro so I just ran round like mad until i'd a load of zombies chasing me then i'd run round and look for survivours and run around and quickly through any buildings they were camped in / looting.. was really funny hearing them burn through what little ammo they had. It was actually such good fun I reckon you should be able to spawn as a Z and aggro hordes that follow you.. high humanity to those that kill you, points to the zombie master for any kills made by the horde they manage to aggro!!

In the fullness of time you will learn the horror of what exactly is hunting "You" in chernarus - you should be afriad going into any major city, the whole aera is hostile, and guess what? they want to kill you. They don't want to make friends with you, shot aggroed zombies chasing you, they wanna shoot you in the leg and laugh as the Z's eat you - when you learn to accept this & develop a buddhist like non-attachment to your kit, you will no longer rage @ death. there are no, none, nada, niet, happy endings in Dayz - from unkillable psycho axe murderes, to people who just teleport you to your death for the hell of it, to thermal imaging weapons used in conjunction with shiper rifles that will kill you from 1.6K away. it's all out there in this game. It is hell. but, also, it has great moments too.

while I didn't actually crawl? I spent a good two or three hours over a couple of different nights, typing "mayday... mayday... request urgent medical assistance, grid ref : *** *** does anyone copy?... over..." endlessly in side chat [ah!! the good ol' dayz of side chat] until eventually someone did come & sort out my broken legs.

you need to pitich the tent, save it & then wait for a server restart before it becomes "safe" enough to store items in..

by and large when I find them empty - specially if it's near the coast or just north of the major sourthern citys, I always stick what ever tools, medical supplies, and pistol + ammo I have into it, then select save old camping tent. I then take all my gear back out of it again, so next time the server restarts at least there is something of use in the tent for any fresh spawn that happens upon it.. if anyone has stumbled upon such a tent thanks to my endeavours? you're welcome + if you have lost hi tier shit that you were dupping in such a tent? HA HA..

I think the way it works is if you pitch it, you can pack it.. old tents can have a purpose too, I use them all the time, its just you can't pack 'em up and take them away..

sounds dodgy to me.. you are offed on a random server which they join and show up in a UAZ? wish i'd a jeep on every random server on the planet..

i've been working with one for a day or two.. boy does it chew through ammo quickly.. and its as rare as frigging hens teeth to find..

nah.. my biggest gripe is that the boot / trunk should only be accessible from the drivers seat. I would pick up more survivours, but i'm sick of having my shit stolen by them when they are in the vehicle..

yeah.. it only seems shit if you're living outta your back pack! however going bandit hunting? 6 x beans 2 x water bottles + low profile.. that's three good hours bandit hunting right there..

if you play on " recruit " level servers, you are given lots of visual indications which will certainly help level the playing field somewhat, on more advanced settings these go away placing you at a disadvantage i'd imagine..

Hey, can anyone help please? If I put the OA - expansion - addon's folder on a Ram drive.. what line of code do I need to add the the DayZbeta windows batch file so that it will look for the folder on the ram drive.. is this even possible? thanks in advance..
