unruffle the panties with haste! All it is, is a guide to the path of the hero in Dayz, you don't play that way? no problem. Someone new to the game asked me what was the difference between a hero & a survivor when I was explaining to them the three different factions in the game, & I thought i'd post this in the "new player" section to give new players an idea of the actions of a "hero" in game. If you want to be a positive player in the dayz world, this is your mantra / code whatever you wanna call it.

so, the vest spawns with a backpack attached, but it's not, you need to actually attach another backpack onto it, the model stays the same but your capacity doubles to 16 slots.. well it was surprise to me anyways. -
we eventually hook up for a Friday night session, and mate drops dead - we think because of standing in the fire. some times one facepalm isn't enough

you don't need to chop anything for kindling you just find it on the ground, or if you must, chop a bush down and you will always get it.

or squeakers, they get a 357 round, as it's always lights out, then a bandage & morphine and i've a few minutes to gtfo before they come round ;)

it's taken me about 3 weeks to put together a decent assault rifle & sight + 90 rounds during that time i've found several mosins and stacks of ammo & sights for it..

interesting I didn't know that detail, must say even though it's only my own anecdotal evidence and not empirical like the map but I was down round Cherno & Elektro for about a week there and saw much more activity than i've seen up north for the last month, as seems to be demongroovers experience as well, which would echo the map data.

last time I spawned i'd nothing, was barefooted in my y fronts and vest, brrrrrr was a harsh start but I survived.. -
I'd love to know exactly how "random" are they, i've been running a loop that takes in over half the possible spawns yet i've only found 2 crash sites in I dunno how many loops at this stage, I would of thought that given that 3 spawn, I would find at least one in every loop, but that is far from the case, they must be more likely to spawn in the north / north west than in the south / south west. if my experience is anything to go by.
