a few good men died last night then! I lost a 47 day character, shot as I was putting food and water into a neab eaters back pack who we had picked up and were sorting out with a gun and some essentials.. only iinconvenienced me for about 5mins & got all my stuff back and was inaction again in the blink of a tear filled eye..

#Sleepy is wrong don't listen to them, if you play on Vilayer hive servers your items can be brought across different Namalsk servers - though I think their hive was attacked and had to be reset recently..

How I solved this.. I deleted the 2 Namalsk folders in the default install location.. joined a Namalsk server and the game loaded. Next step I deleted the 2 folder on my ram disk and tried to rejoin server = Failed.. game is is definately using ramdisk..

indeed m8, imma attached to my wee UAZ as well!! camp got raided the other night.. not bad though, its lasted about a month!! lost a quad & a gaz (I think its called?) but I got away with my precious UAZ. just wish I could find the white UN one again!!

So.. I log into my local server to be greeted with the select gender screen. i've a character alive on this server going on two weeks so i'm a bit wtf? log out and back in again to be greeted by the same screen. I think oh well, que sera sera. Choose my character and spawn in komorovo in the pitch dark. I remember a sneaky wee camp down in kemenka i'd found ages ago, though I haven't been down south on this server in over a week & run to check out if the three tents are still there, for a quick re-up on the essential shit like NVG's. Get to where the camp should of been and nothing is there. it's a long haul to get back to where my UAZ was parked where I logged out yesterday & i'm wondering is it worth going to all the trouble to make my way back there in the pitch dark only to find nothing there. Could the server have started over again? even though its a public hive?

has happened to me twice, on one particular server. abandoned said server (was in US so no doubt desync issue) and it hasn't happened again. only play on a UK server..

yeah... know that feeling, i'd a day 28 character die in a bizzare tracktor explosion near Berezino medical tents.. re spawned in frigging Kamenka - ran the whole way along the coast road - only stoping for food & drink in Elektro to loot my body. The server auto restarted just as I reached the outskirts of the city so lost everything... still hurts even thinking about it!!

1st person is greatly improved by dbl tapping the " - " key on numpad on your keyboard. That being said even with headbobbing turned off and the first person camera moved back, running is very. Meh! I just prefare 3d person for movement & in all honesty this is really strange as i'm not a fan of 3rd person shooters at all.

i'd like to suggest. Head torch. the ability to lower binos with rmb, rather than having to move. UI - attached to a key rather than in a menu.. if that makes sense? keep up the sterling work..

God damn.. I hate the patronising / condescending tone FrankieonPCin1080p uses when he converses with people ingame using direct chat, it's the same tone people who work in nursing homes take with their residents. makes me wanna shoot him in the face, just talk like you do in your narration Frankie.. as for the OP's problem. you just get used to the zombies and their little quirks after a while the become less than an annoyance..

well " Movember " is just around the corner!! I've a mate who works at an engineering firm and they embrace Movember with gusto from the top down - some of the photos that adorn the walls from over the years are hilarious, what people who don't know the score must make of it all, makes it all the more funnier..

tbh I don't think there is anywhere on the map that I haven't been killed at some stage. Last night I was way up North reconnoitering a few clicks west of that huge big Dam, way out in the wilderness. Next thing I hear the report of a shot, and I instinctly drop and roll under a conifer, mind racing i'm fully expecting to be nailed thinking that someone had teleported to my position, but I rationalise it out thinking: a - the shot is infront of me (in my experience they always teleport in behind you) and, b - I didn't hear any subsonic crack of the bullet. So i'm lying there, heart racing and another couple of shots are fired. Definately not in my direction. Now here's the kicker there is only me and this other guy on the server - lets call him "Elmer". Things go quiet for a while and I slowly start to move in the direction of the gun fire. Suddenly a few more shots ring out, really close to me & I locate him, banging away happy as larry with an M24 shooting at either bore / rabbit. I call out in game "Hey! Elmer Fud keep it down pal * & shoot him in the head. There is a moral to that story in there somewhere, oh yeah.. you are safe no where in Chernarus..

its grand unless the server restarts.. also always drop some item that you don't mind losing first and start a loot pile then set your backpack / items ontop of it.. as long as you stay alive and the server doesn't restart your loot pile will stay where you put it..

UK 108.. Hull University computer dept server... great server imo, though it's been kinda quiet of late..

ah come on now.. the internet was shite in the 90's, to get a decent gaming experience you had to set up a lan with your mates...

oh yeah!! wrecked a Toyota hilux staging on dirt roads on one of those annoying concret bollards that are really slow to render- hit it at like 122.. death & explosions, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee boom!!

when i'm a freshspawn I always stock up on trash, if I find well tasty gear close to the coast in a tent, I take it and replace it with a piece of trash and save the tent..

yeah.. three times they teleported and killed me, I tried to reach out to them asking them why they were being such a dick. someone was trying to vote kick them.. my question is how do you vote? they left soon after..

always drop a weapon / backpack on a loot pile, so drop something that it won't be the end of the world if it disappears and then set the gun / bag on top of it..

Title says it all, Helo is on a UK server, anyone interested gimme a shout - all green except there is not a whiff of fuel in the tank..
