Live!! that is the purpose of the game, all the material are there to have a zombie survival fantasy! has your character got all the means to survive? do you regularly disinfect all your items? have you cooking equipment? different clothing for different weather conditions? is all your gear pristine? have you the means to keep yourself healthy? my character has been alive in game now for more that 50 hours in all that time I've only had 3 confrontations in two I genuinely tried to help the other players, their dead i'm still alive! the only thing limiting you is your own imagination.

I carry a tee + tac shirt + raincoat. You know it's going to come into play sooner or later, my tee was worn but it was disinfected before I wore it, same for my worn boots, all adds to the immersion. i'd imagine it will get cold at night, not to mention getting wet.

sli works fine using the Arma 2 OA profile and forcing ar2

when you run in the forrest their is a sound like a predator!! I presume it's one of the zombie sounds that animals make, but it gives me a jump every time I hear it..

Love the addition of the books in game! i'm reading Moby dick at the minute & was thinking it would be kinda cool if there was a feature like in bf4 where you can open your minimap on a tablet while in game to be able do the same with books / maps in your DayZ inventor.

As soon as you spawn, take your shirt off and rip it into bandages! if you're luck enough to find some disinfectant spray it onto the bandages..

a bit of weather would be nice! the odd sunrise or set..

does blood type change in the game? every time I test myself i'm 0+ different spawns, is it safe to assume that every character will be the same?

I thought that you were going to suggest that you had to use the basements to leave the server! anyone who leaves the server any other way forfeits all their ammo - might cause some tears from people who crash, but who cares? at least it would go some way to stopping hopping military spawns!!

Lo, has anyone managed to get sli working in the Alpha? I've tried using profiles for Arma 2 / Arma 2 AO / Take on helicopters all to no avail. has anyone else a working profile they could give me? cheers..

Glad I got it working using the OA sli profile and forcing ar2 some difference!

just turn post processing off completely it ball's up the compass for some reason in Dayz..

the biggest problem I see with Oculus Rift is how do you look at your keyboard? lift the goggles off and look down?

I think the idea is a bit too radical, maybe something along the line of one life per server restart, granted it would have to be a server that attracted a large number of players, & at the end of the day there a plenty of other servers to join when you die. thinking private hive here by the way, dunno how it would work public..

the only way I can describe it is, you get out of the chopper and you end up standing in the middle of it feet on ground, body inside the main body, if you don't react quickly after a couple of seconds your legs break and you die

This !! I really don't know how they can't reproduce this bug or how it is supposedly so rare as it happens to pretty much everyone I game with when we have the Russian..
