So I got myself into a situation that required sprinting, I dropped my Mossy and stripped her of my pristine long scope and bipod & quickly stashed them in a pelican case I dumped a pistol and spare clip out of, kissed mossy goodbye and promised her i'd find her again later and legged it. took a few thumps from Z's during the whole escapade. Now I find my pristine scope is damaged which saddens me greatly. Do the cases actually work or are they just 2 extra slots?

in fairness I used a badly damaged case, I have since found a pristine one maybe that is a factor? I've stuck a a pristine acog into it and will take a knock from a Z to see if it protects it..

as long as you don't move and log out instantly and rejoin a different server you can sometimes get your character back m8.. -
That effing boat is a death trap at night, lost a character i'd kept alive all over the holidays for about 70 hours! had a good laugh at my stupidity.

you need to add it to your tool bar first, then you can open the book by pressing the corresponding number and read. iId been taking a crack at "Moby Dick" but to be honest I found the language a little too flowery, then my character reset & I have no urge to find it and finish it in the rw, now I've picked up a copy of "the art of war", something to do for those prepared to overwatch a position for hours to pass the time. great addition to the game, a book mark would be nice too.

Food run! I don't carry food anymore and eat whatever I find, has nearly killed me a few times, but keeps it interesting!

you died op so you failed OP. Live!! that is the purpose of the game, all the material are there to have a zombie survival fantasy! has your character got all the means to survive? do you regularly disinfect all your items? have you cooking equipment? different clothing for different weather conditions? is all your gear pristine? have you the means to keep yourself healthy? my character has been alive in game now for more that 50 hours in all that time I've only had 3 confrontations in two I genuinely tried to help the other players, their dead i'm still alive! the only thing limiting you is your own imagination.

I carry a tee + tac shirt + raincoat. You know it's going to come into play sooner or later, my tee was worn but it was disinfected before I wore it, same for my worn boots, all adds to the immersion. i'd imagine it will get cold at night, not to mention getting wet.

when you run in the forrest their is a sound like a predator!! I presume it's one of the zombie sounds that animals make, but it gives me a jump every time I hear it..

Love the addition of the books in game! i'm reading Moby dick at the minute & was thinking it would be kinda cool if there was a feature like in bf4 where you can open your minimap on a tablet while in game to be able do the same with books / maps in your DayZ inventor.

As soon as you spawn, take your shirt off and rip it into bandages! if you're luck enough to find some disinfectant spray it onto the bandages..
