I was thinking about loot, what if loot was persistent and only removed loot respawned on server restart? that way you could drop something on a server and it would still be there when it restarted or someone else took it. would it be too crazy for the database to cope with?

I lost my backpack and m4 today - I set them down to sneak into a better position to have a look at what a couple of players were up to & to be able to beat a hasty retreat if necessary.. owners musta been farming as the server restarted at about 20 past the hour, gutted lost so much good stuff & was about to cook my first hot meal, thats the 2nd time now i've lost all my cooking stuff just as i'm about to attempt it grrr.. third time lucky..

Love playing at night, couldn't give a shit if others have their gamma turned up to 11 spinal tap stylee! game really needs way more Z's though, I remeber the first time I was chased by a horde in the mod and got cornered in a barn with only a few shots and with each flash all I could see was more and more z's piling into the barn and then "you are dead" have been hooked ever since. Fact you also get a better breed of player playing in the dark imo, I mean jesus its not likle there are NVG's & thermal scopes - still played even when they were in the game..

I only found out tonight that you can store stuff in the pockets of garments in your backpack, but you cannot put a garment with stuff in its pockets into a backpack.. happy days! i've been wasting all that extra space all this time!!

Gotta agree it was the same in the mod, dunno why they proper handguards are as rare as hens teeth given the abundance of weapon lights you find. think more people would play at night if it was easier to attach the light, or even duct tape it on.. -
my longest was 8 hours waiting to ambush a helo at one of the spots the crew that had the helo liked to use, also had an epic ambush set up for a hummer but no one showed up, that lasted a couple of hours..

I agree op running into doorways in 1st person view is a pain, but I enjoy playing. you gotta pull the camera back press the "-" key & then adjust your FOV and it's pretty sweet, apart from the doorways that is lol.. -

tbh I don't think the bullets pull left its the cross hairs are not properly centred and are a little to the right. how I know this is when playing in 3D with 3d sight enabled I can see that the cross hairs of the long range scope are off..

As a bean eater with just the rags I own to stand up in i'm quite chatty tbh, the further my character developes the less chatty I become unless the drop if got on me. Always initiate communication in type first, then speech would be my advice..
