to play at night just turn clouds - off Shadows - high HDR - low Brightness up full leave gamma default game is very playable and atmospheric To those that say "yeah, but wait until you are killed by some asshole with their gamma cranked!!" I say "so Fuck?" there are 10 thousand random glitches you can die to, mysterious character wipes, and other ways to die, you are going to die eventually, i'd say I've at least 80+ hours played in night time and I have never been killed by another player once that whole time, I've fallen to my death, died climbing up ladders, been mysteriously thrown through walls, but not one bullet has ended my life, but my heart has nearly stopped a few times from shock, to not play at night in a "horror zombie apocalypse" and only run round like it's a perpetual summers day is just sad really, you are missing out on so much!

I dropped my stab vest in a tent in NWAF - i'd taken such a battering from Z's there it was wrecked and badly damaged, but that would be too much of a coincedence!!

I had a stab vest but it was ruined by the time I got back down to the south coast - Ran into the little west railway halt in cherno and found a press vest. Having seen neither of them ever before..

can anyone give me some help with a heroic scenario please? So i'm making a plan and need a little advice. headedd for the dreaded spawn & my plan is to try and locate a bandit and then give the keys to the fresh spawn they were trying to kill & then leg it. Do I just need to have cuffs in hand and press lmb? or do i need to use the inventory & mouse? I want to do it quickly and get after the target ASAP, can the bandit access their inventery when cuffed? I take it pristine cuffs will hold them for a while? no point in wearing the costume if you're not going to give it a lash ;) cheers..

Would it be possible to make stars get smaller rather than bigger when you zoom in with a scope? when you play a lot at night it something you really notice!!

yeah I agree I think it's implemented but not apparent, i'd a Mosin that would jam everytime i'd try and reload and was always off even though my accessories were all pristine, I swapped it for another that I found and the jamming stopped immediately..

TBH i've just spent weeks KOS'ing hoppers at airfields, I also shoot on sight payday masks, I do not shoot fresh spawns, but I will kill those who do.. simples. it's my code that gets me through dayz. I know others play differently & I do not demand that they don't. I used to get really wound up about fresh spawn killing in the mod as I was victim to it all the time at the start. Then eventually you learn & stop being a victim that's when I stopped caring as it's just a fact of the game.

big problem I have is I don't really have any space to carry anything wearing all civiy clothing after my on "survival kit" + being out in the northern airfields for so long I kinda forgot just how much citys suck on my PC.. think i'm just gonna have to stay out on the roads between Elektro or Berezino and look for bandits killing fresh spawns instead..

Yeah, think i've done my time with mil gear & killing server hoppers up north, it's been great fun and the kills are very satisfying, but I reckon it's time ti head back down to the coast and try and help the freshspawns out a bit, i've thrown away my m4 and all mil gear.. my hero looks are..

mate there are loads of dark server's 3p on & off. most starting 2- are dark at this time (15.00 gmt) and most servers starting uk 5- are dark after 18.00 gmt if i'm not mistaken..
