that's your opinion m8, there are plenty of genuine hero's in game who rock the hero outfit. Is it easy? no. All there is, is uncertainty it's all 50/50 and that ain't going to change.. deal with it..

there's only one certainity, people in Bandit mask / biker helmets are either Bandits or idiots.. everything else is 50/50 figure it out yourself..

takes balls to wear a bandit mask as you may as well run round with a big sign saying shoot me please, being a hero aint so easy you need good DayZ instincts. I enjoy playing both..

if youre a good guy don't wear a clown mask or helmet, if you do you're an idiot. there are many people in this game who will kill you on sight and who wouldn't have if you didn't wear it. there is lore in this game developed over years - it's easy to find the attire of a hero, just there is no guarantee those you meet wearing it are actual hero's - welcome to dayz..

it can be pitch dark, the worst is the silent ones that don't scream out, all you hear are the footsteps running at you, they see as well in the dark as in daylight if you are in their direct line of sight. at least sometimes you hear them aggro, but at times you don't, I've nearly had several heart attacks because of it..

I play a lot in the dark and believe me Z's can see in the dark after the last patch, no if and or buts about it..

DayZ is all about uncertainity and pinning stupid yellow ribbons as suggested by someone else isn't going to take that uncertainity away. Nothing is going to take it away as that is what makes DayZ so unique. People need to stop QQ'ing about it and just accept that that is the game and allways will be.. Heros should wear plaid Bandits should wear pay day masks. the end.

found another pristine one tonight, but I also found an acog... if anyone wants the worn one on hardcore gimme a shout and i'll arrange to drop it somewhere for you, but not tonight i'm going to bed now..

I've a pristine mosin with pristine compensator and worn LRS that I will trade for a pristine acog + 3 pristine batteries on hardcore. I have a mosin on the reg hive and I really couldn't be arsed running with 2 guns on hardcore - I've kinda put the mosin together while trying to fix up my m4..

well looks like there is going to be 9.4% illumination in the night sky tonight.. tomorrow night looks like 3.4% and the following two days nasty 0.4% & 0.8% better get some batteries if you wanna play at night..

yay!! only took like a week to find a scope for my m4 (hardcore) then on easy mode -

no other game on the planet that I know of does it, some times even a tree in the distance can cause palpitations..

tbh I tend to find that we use DC in game way more when in teamspeak.. also use the radios in game as well.. everything is about effective coms, and given the quality of some of the opposition you face in this game (I mean lets face it most people new to dayz have no idea what they face really) people are going to talk..

stop trying to farm loot or avoid death and it should be fine..

or let your character starve to death, just leave them logged in if you can't get out.. never log out on anything but the ground floor and never on a steep incline on a mountain either..

whats the craic with badly damaged radios? I've put a battery into and it seems to work, do they have reduced range or should I just dump it as it's worthless?

So it seems the overarching goal of the game is to remove military grade weapons and use more improvised weapons like bow's and spears.. tbh I really dunno how I feel about that. How do you feel it will effect the game? Lots of the high end weaponry that was in the mod is gone now & tbh I liked when it was in the game, but, if even ar's & rifle's are going to go as well, I probably will too. I couldn't be arsed running round like a bunch of angry farmers with shotguns or Neanderthals with spears and bow's..

while eligible I respectfully decline as i'm playing with 3 different groups already and it has me run fucking ragged all over Chernarus, always enjoyed playing on the forum server in the mod though and wish you all the best with it.
