"Hey! I just got shot on sight wearing my friendly clown mask" said no one ever in Dayz. I wear a clown mask and fully expect to get shot on sight, I don't expect any quarter so please don't expect me to give any. I don't know how many times we can say, only 2 types of people wear payday masks in DayZ, Bandits & idiots. The lore is well established in the game, bandits wear masks, heroes wear plaid..... or not as may be the case, it's a bit like wearing a voluntary arm band. there are a huge amount of people that kill clowns on sight, by wearing one you are asking to be killed, you are saying I am a bandit -DONT WEAR A MASK! -
there was a time when people hunted with thermal .50's with LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOng range scopes..

hey i'm all for people running round in their underwear harassing other players, its when they come crying to the forums that they were killed even though they had nothing, that's when it starts to bother me if you can't even hold on to a worthless life, let alone get healthy, well you're playing the game wrong.. imo..

the only way you can play DayZ wrong is to not value your life, and you can't value your life until you take ownership of it, responsibility for it, once you take ownership of your life you meet others who do as well, and boy do they value them. Then? they also start to take ownership of the map.. then you are playing DayZ "Right" imo.

had a few painful ones, but on the plus side I ain't ever once had mysterious broken bones and that really was a pain to deal with at times.. -
well, I think things are going to get a whole lot more interesting round the coast now that the mountain men who have been waging a war against the server hoppers in the north no longer have that entertainment, they're going to be looking for new interesting things, like Ruby i'm sure they're ready to bring their love to town..

no he is questioning the presumption that every fresh spawn is a helpless fawn that needs assistance. More often than not he saying they're probably someone really pissed off at being spawned at the beach, who just see heroes as a means of getting re up's on their shit and people are surprised when this happens & come crying..

In fairness what the op is saying is, don't expect any gratitude in return for forced acts of kindness ,or more importantly come crying to the forums about KOS when some asshole ko's you and steals your own weapon and kills you with it when you were just trying to be helpful.

you still don't get it, the game cannot be the arbiter on what was a "good" death and what was "Bad" it's unfeasible as was found out with the humanity system in the mod . Geddit? never going to happen, sometimes you will kill someone who doesn't deserve to die, shit happens. there a two kinds of death but only one is deserved, now let it go m8.. -

Thane, dying underservedly is exactly what is being "discussed" here, people want certainty in a game that offers none, and is not going to happen with armbands. people want to change the game into V's that every other FPS on the planet is, go and play them instead it suits your comfort zone better..
